Shannon Sharpe says Ja Morant is not hard. “You’re not gangsta, you’re not hood.. stop pretending, you’re worth $200M”

Grizzlies should be fine during his suspension. Provided no one gets injured. They actually have slightly higher win% without Ja. So they have shown the ability to play well without him.

I was expected a longer suspension, but can understand why they went with 25 games. 1. Anything too excessive would have definitely got more push back. 2. It gives NBA room to come back and add more games if he not meeting certain conditions 3. Miles Bridges got a 30 game suspension for a domestic violence incident. The optics of giving JA more games than someone accused of abusing women would look bad.

You gotta understand that this is his second time doing this tho. They suspended him the first time and he said learned from his mistake and then do it again. So, both times he got a slap on the wrist. Dude needs to stop doing dumb shit that he's old enough to know better.

This doesn't make things any better. And shows me that him and his camp still don't get it. At this point it doesn't matter if the gun was real or fake. It's more about the behavior and him putting himself in a position to be questioned again. It would be like someone getting in trouble for smoking weed on camera and then getting caught a second time. But admitting it was just some rolled up oregano on the second offense. It's the bad optics you sending out as a face of the company that concerns them.

BS
hope he wins his appeal and gets max 10 games
He got 8 the first time around. The consequences for the second offense had to be much larger. 25 game suspension is reasonable and still gives him time to come back and play the majority of the season. It could've been much worse. The union may gave some light push back. It's what they are there to do. I doubt they go all in though. Everyone knows Ja has to hold this L and move on.

Yeah I understand and I get it.
I just HATE the double standards of this shithole country and will always call the BS when I see it.

On top of that...you make the CEO look like an asshole by lying to him.

really?? the media was in the strip club when you pulled out a gun or did you broadcast that live yourself??

was the media in the car with you and your homeboy when you flashed yet ANOTHER gun and on IG live??

the sad part is assholes will enable this way of thinking :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh:
He's gonna soon be the face of the league and they want to protect him at all cost good or bad! They don't give a fuck.

Ja's 100% a fuck up lemme make that clear and state that from the rip.

but I gotta admit the media was going crazy with Ja Morant shit. Everybody sports show, podcast, youtube channel, etc was making whole segments dedicated to Ja's issue. The amount of time I spent blocking Ja Morant hot takes from my feeds was crazy. What was kinda weird was some old white dude's sports show having whole segments about how much time Ja Morant should be suspended for. People was really calling in and getting themselves off with how much time he should get.

I don't know if that's a byproduct of media today or what but that Ja shit was going crazy in the algos

New Ja Morant lawsuit details shine light on toy gun claim amid Grizzlies star’s suspension

The Memphis Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant for the first 25-games of the upcoming season due to his suspension for off-court behavior. Now, more details surrounding Morant have been revealed, including some facts to back up the point guard’s toy gun claim.

Davonte Pack, a close friend of Morant, was called to give a deposition in a current lawsuit against Morant. While Pack admitted that Morant did own a Glock, he claimed the gun in the second Instagram Live video of the Grizzlies point guard was a lighter, via Lucas Finton of the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

That IG Live video played a massive role in Morant’s suspension. After already flashing a gun on Instagram, Morant’s second strike was viewed as a serious red flag. The NBA decided a 25-game suspension was warranted for Morant’s actions. However, Pack is now claiming the gun Morant waved was a fake.

Even if the gun was a candle, Morant has gotten into plenty of trouble over the last couple of years. The lawsuit Pack was called for involved an altercation between Morant and a 17-year-old. Pack admits that Morant threw a punch at the teenager after a pickup basketball argument erupted.

All of Morant’s actions ultimately culminated in the NBA being forced to take action. He’ll now be forced to be away from the Grizzlies as he looks to build on his character. The league would take some solace knowing Morant’s gun wasn’t real. However, even making light of the incident, after already getting in trouble for the same action, is why Morant is in hot water.

The gun might’ve been fake, but Ja Morant’s consequences are very real.
