Yeah I know just being thorough in terms of why we may see such vitriol against black men at times, but at the same time people like Trump say and do crazy things too. I spoke on this before that I know someone that knew Constance's family and even the family made the joke if she was going to give Cosby back his money he gave her after knowing they were still ok with each other after he gave her the money. I also said how my lawyer friend said what happened was illegal in Cosby's case because they went back on a sealed document.
Depending how things are covered or if certain people remove themselves from Jay even if he is undoubtedly innocent damage could definitely be done in trying to get at Diddy.

The media doesn't make it easier either.

The Diddy thing is different due to Cassie and other elements, but I am wary with this Jay Z situation and accusing him and making him guilty right away because of said history with black people. The timing is perfect too with Diddy's situation and I do think it would have been harder to believe or go through if this was a one off despite some may try to link his past with Foxy and her cousin, Aaliyah, and even those saying Beyonce too.

I would agree with you in 2024. But I actually went to the 1999 VMAs at the Met Opera House hosted by Chris Rock as a 14 year old with my uncle, my cousin and my uncle's GF who was a MTV executive. I got lucky and went because my uncle GF knew a director who wasn't able to go and took their invitation. Each invitations had a plus one. The main lobby to get to seats (ours upper deck) was near celebrities. This was when these awards shows were filled with only celebs, industry executives, MTV executives along with friends and family. Now these award shows are open to the general public and influencers to buy tickets to.
