Wow, yall thought that was funny? After the first few skits, I turned that shit off. There was NOTHING funny in the first few skits. That show finds the dumbest and corniest approaches to comedy. They need to just pull the plug on the whole show.

Most of the skits on SNL are lame and simply aren't funny and it's been that way for a long time.
And no that skit you posted wasn't funny but the State Farm one was. They'll have maybe one thing funny in an entire sketch and the rest of it is bad.
Comedy's also subjective so if you thought something was funny there'd be lots of people who didn't find it funny.
Like the skit below. Most of the jokes were lame but buildup and the scene with Lorne Michaels was funny.

That is actually a very fair assessment
And SNL kinda makes jokes for other comedians
And comedy is so damn subjective like you said the STRANGEST things make me laugh out loud
And trust me I never laugh at comedy.
If I do? Usually it's either brilliant or just the most ridiculous sh*t that tickles a very specific funny bone.
