This is how I feel
I wasn't asking for a Han Solo movie, but it was cool to see how they met.
Chewey was the best part for me
Just saw it... filled in the Han Solo mythology
- How he got the Millenium Falcon, his pistol and his general lifestyle and mantra.
- Why him and Chewbacca are so close
- Darth Maul was a surprise, I kept expecting Khaleesi to call Drogon to burn up people.
- Willow is a rebel? ....Val Kilmer wept
- Donald Glover was a poor replacement for Billy Dee. Glover is not suave in any way (hurt Lando character)
- Lando wants to bang a SJW robot ? and has a closet full of capes because he's that bitch
- Finally saw the infamous "Kessel run" Han is so proud of
Overall a C (no lightsabers)

Movie wasn't great it wasn't bad either. I can tell that they changed director's and did some reshoots though
some of it felt like they were forcing the pieces of the puzzle together instead of letting life naturally happen.
thought it'd be a standalone but they def shot it to try and make it a trilogy of sorts
didn't need sabers imo solo actually did a good job imo he could only do what he had to work with.
lando was pretty cool couldn't get a really good feel for him though. i don't think he was in love with that robot it was just his #2 just like han would be if chewbacca got shot up.
and how chewbacca was when han died.
i knew the beast was chewbacca i ain't mad at how most things went down.
clearly they had the tech as we saw ol boys daggers with saber tech in them and darth had his all ready set to go as well.
id watch it again if it came on hbo

The direction was fine. it's nothing with the direction. The shots were really well done
but the director ain't the writer in this case
the writing and overall story needed more polish which is crazy to say considering the caliber of film this is
the movie didn't commit a couple of edits and it would have really captured the spirit of han
keep the part where he got his name
take us to the academy flight school and what got him kicked out and made into a grunt.
keep the chewbacca meet.
keep the reunion and the mission
cut some of the forced connections to wrap things up with a bow.
suffer a real setback in the film
should let the people who are gonna disappear and not be in his life leave more organically
and you got yourself a real good movie.
Hell no! Episode 2 was a fucking classic. The scenes on Camino, Geonosis are
among the most memorable scifi scenes of all time. Only the scenes on Scariff
in Rogue One come close/

While I agree, I find it funny that people always try to rank the Star Wars films. Only 3 of them were any good at all. The rest were subpar to absolutely terrible.

I had to look up who Captain Jack Harkness was. I've never watch Doctor Who. Is it good? Is on Netflix or Hulu?
If you include Rogue one, which in my opinion was really good, which of the first three do you consider subpar to terrible?

Empire
Star Wars
Rogue One
All of the others are mediocre (The Force Awakens, Return of the Jedi) to absolute garbage (the rest).

Something about Thandie's look was really appealling to me in this movie.
Pam G. Meets Angel Davis. Liked it as I always saw her as a bed wench before. Even with her kissing on Beckit it still resonated with me better.
The pirate leader was very good looking too. Sistas with UK accents, man.
Movie was solid. Something was getting me about Lando, and i couldnt place it. But the fam did. Can always count on BGOL to close the loop.
Overall, i give it a 7.5

The last Star Wars movie I really enjoyed was Rogue One. Yes, it was fill in the backstory fan service but it was exceptionally well done.
The Last Jedi has pretty much killed any interest I had in seeing these characters develop any further.
As for Solo, I have no interest in seeing it. Plus, they turned Lando Calrissian into a "pansexual" lothario who'll now pretty much fuck anyone or anything. (Men and androids alike).
And what's so fucked up about that is the fact that Lando Calrissian was the 1st prominent Black character in the Star Wars story. I remember as a kid just how important this was in the Black Community back in 1980. So naturally; they decided to undermine the coolest, most important Black man in the galaxy him by making him sexually ambiguous.
