Ive worked for Spectrum which used to be Time Warner for almost 17 years now. So let me go ahead and tell yall whats really going on. For some reason folks always get mad at the cable provider instead of the company that owns the channels...which is Disney. Whenever a contract is up, they will request a much higher amount of money to allow channels to be carried. Cable companies would have to raise the customer's bill to pay for that shit. ESPN is the biggest loss out of all the channels because its the most popular. Now how many people want their cable bill raised AGAIN for a sports channel they dont even watch? This shit happens all the time. It will be resolved like always. Price wont change much on yall bill. Everybodys happy. But please believe Disney is on that bullshit, not Charter Spectrum.

Same thing will happen when Comcast and AT&T's contracts are up too, as well as any other cable or satellite company. Its just Charter is first up to bat.
Man, the rat's media arm is hurting. That's why they are looking to sell some shit and for partners. So now the bitches want even more bread for some dying shit they having trouble with figuring out how to keep up. Yeah, these price disagreements happen all the time, but this time it really is different.

Fuck the rat. ESPN is headed to the boneyard. Ol' blockbuster ass shit. Let some big tech giant come in and scoop up those tv deals and put it on streaming with ads.

Yup. I remember when Sling TV had this same problem with ESPN a few years ago. Only took like 2 or 3 days to resolve the issue, but I ended up leaving and going to YouTube TV.

Fubo TV. YOUTUBE TV.

Fubo doesn't have TNT, so that's gonna affect your basketball, but it does have NFL Network.

I just got YouTube TV so I haven't worked out the winds and the wise of everything and how it works, but it does have NFL Network.

Thing is, they are cutting their own throats. Nobody needs their bullshit TV service. You might need their Wi-Fi and internet because a lot of places have a monopoly on shit like that. I'm stuck with Frontier or whatever the fuck because of the Monopoly in my area

YouTube TV you can get from anywhere, the only problem is you can't bundle it like you can with Spectrum TV so you're probably going to end up paying more, but if you can fuck them by not getting their TV service because they want to be dick measuring with Disney, then fuck them

Yeah I've had YouTube TV for a few years now and no complaints. Cheap and I can pretty much log in anywhere.

I was a firestick and IPTV bro for years, but unfortunately my wife's job doesn't allow me to do anymore illegal streams.

How did they find out about illegal streams.

They've pretty much removed all of the Disney own channels from their packages.
I basically have no sports channels to watch..........FX is gone.......NatGEO gone.......man wtf???
Why do you still pay to watch tv? Ijs.

Damn, I recently switched to Spectrum for my cellular service. Let's see if they attempt to raise my cable bill first before I let them have it.

The mini buffering moments I may get from time to time is still more tolerable than paying $60+ bucks for a fight.. actually saw that boxing match where ole boy got washed a few weeks ago at my boy biz for free thanks to free 99. It probably buffered twice and literally less than 2 secs.. will tolerate it
Nah that free shit be trash especially for live sports. It can be going good until 8 mins into the 3rd quarter for Football and like 6th/7th round of boxing. MMA that shit buffering hard after 1 minute of the 1st. I'm getting NFL+ and a VPN so I can catch all live NFL games(Mainly Cowboys games).

That definitely sounds like your area thing cause I been running free99 for over 10yrs.. I even have made money hosting free99 stripper events. From mayweather fights to super bowls and I can tell you didn’t have no buffering problems.. charging $30 for a stripper fight party with over a hundred people and still not paying for the fight priceless

Man I went through ALL the links and still buffered. Even in the chats they were complaining whenever the streams started to buffer. Glad you had a better experience than I did.

Don’t get me wrong there’s definitely sites that buffer like a motherfucker but there’s some that rarely do or don’t at times. As I said the ones that would buffer from time to time did it for a sec or 2 and back to being regular. It was so minimal that I wouldn’t be like oh fuck I rather pay $60 for this fight than it pause for a sec in a pre main event card

I'm actually on the side of Charter/Spectrum in this dispute.
Disney keeps asking for more money from the cable companies (and then the cable companies charge customers more to make up for it), yet fewer and fewer people are watching traditional TV.
Charter basically said if they're going to keep paying more they should get more in return including giving their customers access to Disney+, ESPN+, etc.
