I'm only halfway thru but so far it's a worthy successor , there was no way it could match the first season like you said. Those circumstances were perfect.
I like this season. It was a little bit slow but once we got back to the island all the slow build up made sense. Great twists and turns. Like all the new games.
Rock paper scissors Russian roulette is kinda sick but it worked.
I think bread and lottery was MUCH deeper than people realize especially in THAT country's specific financial situation.
The Recruiter to me was perfect to have return and flesh out. He is now ironic. We know all we need to know about him and his insanity that is based in a lot of reality. I could see him in a flashback in part 3. That actor deserves more work.
I honestly have no idea where this goes next which is the highest praise I can give.
What is this still a great aspect of this show is old folks un the group chat claiming they could really win this.

Ok just watched season 2 all 7 episodes
I did not like this season , the games weren’t as good as the season 1 games
I did not like any of the new characters in the games
Last season had good characters I was rooting for, the old man , main character , the Indian guy , North Korean girl
This season I don’t like any of them ,
And is it maga to say that sometimes is hard to know who’s who because they all look alike ?
I still don’t know the name of the main character by memory after 2 seasons
Only 7 episodes and I didn’t like the way it ended on a cliffhanger
The rapper with the purple hair was cringe
The tranny , they had to add one
Also is an Asian thing but they love to throw themselves on ground and beg over there
Too much Korean humor that didn’t translate well , some of the characters are over the top
How did the main character not suspect number 1 was undercover like last time ?
The new North Korean girl , I don’t care about her character like I did the season 1 North Korean girl
Watched most of the season so far and feel the same way so far.
To be fair, it was gonna be impossible to capture the same feeling as the first season.....it was fresh, unknown, and came with zero expectations.
The element of surprise is gone and the writing, melodrama and overacting been annoying this season.....I don't remember it being so over the top last season.
The element of the Front man entering the game and fucking with the main characters head is a nice twist....North Korean chick is interesting but I'm trying to understand her end game.
We had to fast forward through the large swaths of the past 2 episodes but we gonna finish it off....
Currently watching and enjoying "The Agency", "Lioness" and "Dune"
That Thanos dude was funny. She asked that mofo where his stones and he showed her his painted fingernails.
He is an A-list celebrity in South Korea.
He also starred in Train to Busan. Also on Netlfix.
I enjoyed season 2. As mentioned before, it's hard to top season 1..but it's still a great show.
The most annoying characters. Was the dude the kept getting bullied and punked out by Thanos and his buddy. Dude didn't even stick up for the girl who tried to protect him and watched her die..smh. Then the witch bitch was annoying and should've been killed early on. I think the tranny was thrown in to touch on social issues going on in the country, much like other themes in the show.

Season 2 is dope so far (I'm on episode 6 rite now). You can definitely tell they had a bigger budget to work with for season 2. The cinematography is much better in season 2 as well.
