Jada Is going to shit on that street.
Not sure, but he never talked down on his community to get a check (even when it wasn't popular). He was one of the 1st to use rap to get to the mainstream tv then movies. He never changed....stayed the same. If you ask me, that is giving back.

I dont think that building schools etc has any value on whether or not someone gets a street named after him/her, but Will does have a charity.

Will Smith had an amazing career in both hip hop and the movies. He at one point was the biggest star in Hollywood black or white. To say that one act discredit his entire legacy past and future is ridiculous. Especially when the act was slapping Chris Rock who is nobodies embodiment of black excellence. If he slapped patti labelle yeah I could see canceling but Fuck Chris Rock he ain't did shit for black people.
The other thing is that after he slapped Rock, the Jackson family all came out and said "fuck Chris Rock." I think if you say some sideways shit about a man's wife with him sitting there, he a bitch for not at least making an honest attempt to slap fire outcha ass.

You never know what a man's line is. I've seen a `100 fights start with jokes. It's all fun and games until you cross that line. Rock crossed the line and got what happens when you cross the line. Certain shit ain't jokable. A man's family is one of those things. You can go there as long as you are ready for the repercussions. Rock wasn't ready, so I'm sure he learned a valuable lesson from this as well.
This is what the internet generation brought us. People think it's cool to say the shit they say on the internet in real life and it ain't. None of the shit you even saying today about Will Smith you would say to his face. Chris Rock thought it was one way and it was the other way.

On the real, it's telling how many folks never read Will's autobiography. Why does that matter? He literally explains himself in the book and it's easy to "understand" what really happend that lead to the slapping. On the surface, Chris told a joke, Jada looked at Will and Will got up and slapped Chris... but NOPE not really what went down once you understand where Will mentally was at. This was just the physical reaction. There was way more going on under the surface and if you had read the book, Will's actions were understandable (not right). Sometimes, the context makes the difference. Clearly none of you have ever did one thing physically that was interpreted one way but when proper context is added to the same scenario, changed the way your actions were intrepeted. NO I'M NOT DEFENDING WILL, I'm just saying... it was not about the Chris' Joke, it was about Will and his demons.
