They have had a number of high rank series get cancelled or just sitting in limbo.

It’s all based around their weird algorithms
Gonna have to do my research on it what shows you talking about? The only time I remember shows getting cancelled was during the pandemic…and writers strike…..and then there were shows like Get Down that got canceled because it cost too much to produce. But typically off top I can’t think of a show that did not get a second season trending this long.

The below were series that were discussed on BGOL in a number of threads.

• Raising Dion (2 seasons)
• 1899 (1 season)
• Another Life (2 seasons)
• Archive 81 (1 season)
• Jupiters Legacy (1 season)
• Altered Carbon (2 seasons)
• The OA (2 seasons)

There are a ton of other series, they are not what BGOL cats would be interested in, it’s just the amount of content that Netflix puts out in all genres that get cancelled.

There is a shit load of series that are sitting in limbo that have debuted over the past 7 years just sitting in limbo with no word on anything.

I think that is the issue with Netflix, they put out so much new shit on a weekly basis that they spread their subscribers out to thin. Folks just ain’t got time to watch all the new shit on their service along with what comes out on network/cable tv and streaming.

See a lot of those shows you listed were casualties of budget and the pandemic. Ironically all sci fi too which are more expensive.

I think Supacell is safe for at least season. Especially since I think they are about to wrap up Umbrella Academy which is similar.

She’s nice as hell. But man I swear she was mean-muggin practically the entire series.

I’m not sure if she was directed to have that stern look or not. But that’s sister needs to smile more.

I haven't seen you in awhile..

My Bro! Been a hot minute. Haven’t been on the board actively for years now. Pop in and out every once in awhile and contribute to interesting threads and shows like this one.

Man, we’ve been on the board for a long as time.

I think I joined in 2006….shit!!

Yeah I guess that’s a way to bring him back. I hate when shows get rid of villains too fast. Still mad BP got rid of Killmonger that character had more life to him.
im with u
sometimes they dont know if there will be a season 2 or sequel
like luke cage when they killed of villain in season 1
in case of killmonger i get it cause mbj a big star
scheduling can become an issue

Yeah and I always wondered how big that show was I know it was a critic darling but I don’t think the audience matched the budget.
i also think it was but new around that time
so they didnt know what to do really
cause they have spend way more on shows now
and they are all getting a sequel

I feel that but as big as BP was he could’ve found the time to do it it’s the biggest film he’s done and will ever do and probably even get a producer credit.

And you right forgot all about Maharshala Ali…now that one I could see potentially being scheduling issues but still pissed me off.

dont forget that they had scheduling issue when they did creed 2 or 3 i believe
they had to find another director cause coogler was busy

also BP might also be exception cause coogler and mbj really friends
so i hear u on that.
but imagine it be just random director that wants u in the movie for 20 minutes
mbj is too famous to wait on marvel

they are back now and shooting a new vampire movie so i cant wait to see that

I'm watching the finale right now. I almost don't want to let it end. This show was amazing
I swear they've got some of the coolest slang. I don't know how many times I've watched both Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

I don't know if they'll be a season 2, but with just 15 minutes up to go in the season 1 I'm fucking loving it.

I don’t think budget, the pandemic and strikes have anything to do with it.

Lost in Space was canceled in 2021, look how much expensive shit Netflix has put out since it was cancelled. That “Sandman” series ain’t cheap when you look at it.

One thing folks need to keep in mind is that there are different Netflix’s around the globe. Everyone ain’t looking at the same Netflix. So there is a lot of shit we don’t know about.

North America is on its own, Central/South America, Europe, Africa, Mideast, Far East and South Pacific/Australia have their own services and original programming.

Some of the other stuff occasionally filters over to North America Netflix.

Netflix spends money like there ain’t no tomorrow putting out content. Even the cheap shit they put out, you multiply all the shit around the world and that shit adds up.

Budget has to match audience though. Lost in Space did people watch that like that?

It had good numbers.

Production cost was high, but I believe Netflix cancelled it cuz the actors demanded higher pay.

I suspect Netflix does not pay these actors good dollars when they put out content. Majority of these actors are just happy to be working and settle for whatever they get until something lucrative comes along.

The strikes revealed these actors ain’t making big money in Hollyweird.
