Dude I respect your imagination but on this one....who cares??

This is the fundamental problem with superman..hes so BLAND and vanilla that even krypton is lame.. I mean theres a reason why we've only seen the brief moments leading up to kryptons destruction. Its the same reason the Terminator movies are only interesting in time we first see Sarah Connor and only see glimpses of the future. In both cases watching how things came to be isn't really the interesting part. Mainly because we KNOW what happens..we know whatever conflicts jor el has with zod and the elder kryptonians doesn't mean anything because the planet blows up. Just like we know that skynet takes over and starts to hunt down mankind in Terminator so any show or movie giving details about it isn't going to be very juicy because no matter what they do they can't stop skynet.

So what will we learn that zod was brilliant person...okay doesn't matter he dies in MOS (thanx zack snyder)
Ursela and Non did this other thing...meh they end up in the negative zone and ultimately defeated by superman anyway.
Kandor and brainiac did something else...kinda cool maybe but its not going to be used in the films and probably not even supergirl or the CW shows so its kinda pointless and standalone. :dunno:

hey MAYBE they can do something interesting with it but I really doubt it.

I'm just saying that there is room here to do something new and interesting. For example... Look at Terminator. On paper.. The Sarah Conner Chronicles looked like it was going to be bullshit. Why would I care about watching a terminator series without Armold? But the The Sarah Conner Chronicles turned out to be amazing. Everyone knew what was going to happen... But the show did something cool and flipped the script. I think they can do the same thing here. I'm not going to knock David Goyer. I thought Da Vinci's Demons was going to be boring as fuck as I was completely wrong about that show. Im actually shocked that I'm one of the few people on this thread that is actually hyped about this show.

Look at the shows that they came out with in the last two years. They got a new head of programming two years ago and they have worked to rebrand themselves because they finally woke up and noticed that all these genre shows are popping up on other channels. No they have the magicians, dark matter, kill joys, the expanse and can't forget 12 monkeys. And all of these shows were renewed... I'm telling you. It's a different network. You might not get 6 year seasons but at at least they will give you 3-4.
Now that you mentioned it...they have stepped it up a bit.

I don't know about this one though. Gotta start somewhere I guess.

That "Codex wannabe Matrix bubble baby Panzer Dragoon flying dragon with bug wings Dildo prison capsule" mess of Man of Steel Krypton was horrible. If this takes place within that cinematic universe, I definitely would never watch it.
Dis dude said 'panzer dragoon'. Damn I haven't heard that since I had a Sega Saturn, back in the 90s

First thing that I thought of watching MOS (and Avatar) was Panzer Dragoon, and how they would ride on them flying dragon creatures. ..DOPE series..

Sleepy Hollow EP Damian Kindler Tapped as Superman Prequel Krypton Showrunner

21-damian-kindler.w529.h529.jpg

It's a good time to be a Superman fan:Batman v Superman raked in lots of cash,Supergirl just finished its first season on CBS, and now, it looks like a long-gestating Superman prequel series is staffing up and nearing a pilot order at Syfy. Krypton would chronicle the saga of Supes's home planet before its destruction, and Sleepy Hollowexecutive producer/writer Damian Kindler has been tapped to act as the show's executive producer and showrunner. Peaky Blinders director Colm McCarthy has also been brought on as the potential pilot's director. Longtime superhero scribe David S. Goyer (who worked onThe Dark Knight, Man of Steel, and Blade, among other spandex-clad projects) co-wrote the pilot's original screenplay with Ian Goldberg and has been chatting up the show for years. If negotiations get difficult, hopefully people on both sides of the table can realize their mothers' names are Martha.

doesn't matter what channel...shit even netflix wouldn't make this good.. Krypton just sounds like another Caprica but worse because what makes kryptonians interesting is the SUPER POWERS.. on krypton theyre just ordinary...no flying no super strength no laser vision. So you'll see some exotic/futuristic setting where people argue and fight like REGULAR people.

What about Braniac and Doomsday? Both have Kryptonian roots. Doomsday may have been an evolutionary offshoot or some sort of bio weapon. Brainiac was the super computer that set the destruction of Krypton in motion.

kinda really doesn't make a difference since again kyptonians are only superpowered from a yellow sun..so it would be ordinary people fighting doomsday and brainiac..:dunno: may as well be humans on earth doing that...

'Krypton': Who Is Adam Strange?

By JENNA ANDERSON - March 21, 2018

  • Kryptonian who would eventually become the grandfather of Superman. Seg essentially was going about with his life, coming to terms with his rankless identity in Kryptonian society, until he was met with a surprising revelation.

A man in a hoodie and baseball cap approached Seg, and identified himself as Adam Strange(Shaun Sipos). As Adam claimed, he was from Earth in the future, and the fate of his world would depend on Seg -- and the safety of his grandson.

So, who exactly is Adam Strange, besides a mild-mannered Detroit Tigers fan? Here's what you need to know.

Adam Strange first debuted in the pages of Showcase in the late 1950s, in an attempt to give DC Comics readers a new, relateable hero set in the present-day. Adam was an archaeologist who - via a "Zeta-Beam" sent by aliens - was accidentally teleported from Earth to the planet Rann. Adam ultimately grew to be the protector of the planet, fending it off from various extraterrestrial threats, with the help of his wits and a Rannian space suit.

Adam Strange appeared in several other contexts over the years, including in Justice League of America, Planet Heist, and 52. He then played a major role in trying to stop the Rann-Thanagar War and the Rann-Thanagar Holy War, conflicts that made him cross paths with Hawkman and Hawkwoman. (The latter of whom is expected to play a role in Krypton.)

In more recent years, Adam has played a role in some of DC's intergalactic adventures, including appearances in Strange Adventures and R.E.B.E.L.S..

With so much backstory to potentially bring to the screen - but also the ability to essentially craft a new version of Adam for mainstream audiences - Sipos had a unique challenge.

"The way that I kind of approach this is, the world of Krypton is very militaristic, it's dystopian, but for Adam...I mean the very nature of Adam Strange is that he is different," Sipos said during a recent visit to the set of Krypton in Northern Ireland. "He's strange. And when, in the comics, he goes to Rann, everyone talks about how much life he has in him and that he does things that are different and he's kind of funny and sort of has a levity to him, that's fascinating to them."

    0COMMENTS
"And Rann is very similar to Krypton," Sipos, continued. "It's very dystopian as well. So, I try and approach it with joy. I mean, he has a lot of pain. He had a difficult childhood. He didn't feel that he fit in. He didn't think that he would be a superhero. He would be the last one to say that he would be one. But, I think that's what draws people to him, is that he's the unlikely superhero. If he can be a superhero, then anyone can be."

Krypton airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on The CW.

Superman’s grandfather is saying goodbye.

Syfy has decided against a third season of Krypton, a Superman prequel that focuses on Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), the grandfather of the Man of Steel. The series was set 200 years before Superman’s birth.

The drama just wrapped its second season to middling numbers; Wednesday’s finale only averaged 350,000 viewers.

But on Friday, Cuffe had only positive things to say about his experience working in the DC universe.

At Comic-Con in July, Cuffe brought down the house during EW’s Brave Warriors panel by sharing a hilarious story about how he prepped for a sex scene. Think lots of protein for weeks, then one day of a carb binge — which did nothing for his intestines. You simply must read about it here.

Yeap and this is why Syfy is going to fucking always have problems with their shows... No one watches them cause we don't trust them.

Van Helsing and The Magicians is officially on the clock...After,those two shows end,Im not watching one show from that channel...

I don't understand, why they call it a scifi channel when they always getting rid of scifi shows...
