I know people hate on Nicki Minaj for her gimmicks but isn't she a lot more lyrical and better at wordplay than Lil Kim was?
I don't know either of their catalogues very well but listening to them both over the years, I think of Lil Kim as having a nice flow and being able to hang with the men but I can't think of one lyrical verse or song from her or even a really hot bar. I haven't heard a Nicki Minaj song in years but I think her early stuff runs circles around anything Lil Kim ever did.

This is true. She got plaques and stats. However, Nicki being called a clone of Kim is something that won't shake for some people. As for Lauryn Hill, damn she pounced on the women with that one album. That is the female rapper version of Thriller lol.

Lil Kim has a better catalog of music than Nicki Minaj. I have Lil Kim as 1 of the GOAT female MCs. She got classics that still go hard today.

All them save for Rah Digga done had "help" and or ghostwriters. Kim's music has better replay value and still gets bumped more than all of them. Kim was the total package as a female MC, she can flow, she got a presence with her delivery, she had sex appeal but she hardcore at the same time. She always holds her own with the dudes she raps wit on features. Theres been alot of female MCs that are lyrical and can spit but dont make good music or have a memorable catalog. Rakim said MC stands for "Move the Crowd"
