Two things niggas can't be to save they life, honest or wrong

Come on big dawg
Just cuz you wear a sweatervest don't make you more honest or right than me.

I was responding to the narrative that cardi b saved Offset life by making him do something... IF that's even the case (idk).

I'm opposed to any bredren being divided, be it by gov't, women, or money. Like Big Meech said, "Let no man [or woman] separate what we create".

Agreed and it's definitely been said before.

Another thing, it's not just on the rappers. It's more on the fans.

Fans spend their money and dictate what popular. The fans choose to hear female stripper rap instead of something with substance.

Fans choose to purchase and listen to negative music about killing. I'm also guilty of it so I'm no Bette for on a high horse.

They say the record label are pushing it but nowadays, these kids are making the music that they want. The music that says what they want to say before a record label's involved.

So it's on us the community to change.
Absolutely right!

We as listeners, consumers, end users are also culpable.

That's why I listen to Afrobeats, vote with my dollars, and quick to cancel somebody that disrespects something that I represent.

The same way I don't spend money with Walmart or Chick-fil-A, is the same way I stopped fucking with kanye after "slavery was a choice".

We have to start paying close attention to the words, actions, and decisions of both individuals and institutions.

I got a shitlist, once on it aint no coming off it :itsawrap:

I think you're taking what they said way too literal brother.

When they said she saved his life they meant being in a relationship with her and raising their kids as opposed to being out in the streets saved his life, not that she made him stop fucking with them.

At least that was my interpretation.

No offense but the although the video of the woman appeared to be taken by a regular person. It appears that the video was given to the police or news stations and they censored it and that version was released to the public.

Takeoff's and videos like his are immediately taken by the people on the scene and posted on the net.

Nobody on the scene posted a video of the woman shooting the firefighter. We didn't hear about the story until the police announced that she wasn't charged.

No the media doesn't have care or concern for what they usually show of us but in this instance it was a bad comparison.

This statement is ridiculous! These killings are not about hip hop nor does this killing have anything to do with hip hop. Shit is wild that people continue to make these dumb ass assertions…

Takeoff is a ip Hop artist is he not?

So this death has to do with Hip Hop

Quavo is a Hip Hop artist is he not?

So his involvement has to do with Hip Hop.

Dumb and wild is the continual excuses for this type of bullshit. You’re enablers to this shit behavior when you continue to make excuses.

This is what Hip Hop is now. It’s become the norm. If you can’t see that you’re in deep denial.

Something has to give. We can’t keep doing this and promoting shitty behavior through music and think it won’t affect how the people around us respond to it.

Idk if we haven’t realized it or not but Hip Hop don’t belong to Black people anymore. It’s a corporate tool used to sell Black stories to white kids for entertainment. The byproduct is Black people trying to live up to the caricature image and baring most the consequences or meager benefits that come from it. Shit is sad and I don’t know if Black people recognize it or care to stop it.

I’m not sure what you are saying. Please elaborate
I’m saying Takeoff was signed to a record label and achieved a high level of fame and made millions so his death occurring on a day that is notorious for ritualistic removal is no surprise.

It could have been a case of wrong place at the wrong time but I doubt it. In two weeks from now, watch how much he is being talked about in the media which is another clue it was ritualistic removal. People like @TimRock claim ritualistic sacrifice is a myth although it is written about throughout history.
I’m not sure what you are saying. Please elaborate

This isn't about hip hop, fam. This is about the failure to non-violently resolve conflict and the proliferation of guns. At it's most basic level, that is what this is about. You see shit like this happen in the hood daily.

It’s safe to say this wasn’t a dice game. This is something way more. I hope the authorities do a full of instigation on this, especially with Houston being half black.

When we listened to Jazz that is what was recorded and sold.

Then Rap.

If we chose to listen to Afrobeat, Bossa nova, hell Classical, that is what the record companies would produce.

It's chicken or the egg but they would stop pushing death music in a day if market preferences changed.

Just came to say something similar but there it is. Maybe because this guy said it people will listen to it and change.

They ain’t gon stop tho.

Like dude said they get paid too much money to keep doing it.

So it’s up to the people to reject it, stop buying it.
Not gone happen cause majority of hip hop buyers are cacs . And they don't care about niggs dying or killing

Dude one hip hop artist is dead there is another two probably going to jail for the rest of their lives, and there is another one losing his mind on tv. All of them are hip hop artist. THIS IS ABOUT HIP HOP.

And Hip Hop promotes hood shit daily. When an artist gets on who they do it for? The HOOD.

Hip-Hop promotes Hood as a lifestyle. Being hood, being rich + hood, being hood-rich, keeping it hood. And how do you do this? Get money, get guns, fuck the opps bitch and kill the opps.

Art imitates life imitates art and this is what’s being promoted on a capitalistic level through hip hop. This is what the music is now, an aggressive form of capitalistic entrepreneurship. You say conflict resolution, but why do that when I got shooters on my squad which pretty much means I’ll bully up before I back down.

I get it, we’ve all invested so much into this culture but it’s ruined now. This is what it is.

When we gonna realize hip-hop music has sold us out?

This is all the music is about now.

The powers that be saw the knowledge of self direction the music was taking us so they effectively over time convinced the masses that that kind of thing was old, played out and not worth listening to.
They pushed the shiny suits, let's just get high and flossin to the max narrative to the forefront.
Shit is ridiculous with us always falling for the okey doke.
You don't hear or see the most redneck crackas in country music gettin shot dead in the street or constantly beefin over a block, city or crew.
Niggaz is stupid as fuck wit the bullshit.

Biggie and Pac was 25 years ago.

For a lot of that time, it was peace for the most part.

Even at the height of 50 Cent and Ja Rule, we never thought they would murder each other.

Whats going on now isn’t rap vs rap beef. It seems to be nights moving wreckless in the streets

When you consider murder rate or deaths to other genres rappers are never in peace. Even dancehall and reggae has better rate.
