She brought up an interesting point wit her manly soundin ass.....

When Duke The Jeweler (from Chicago) was in Houston last month, he was robbed, shot and killed after winning $100k in a dice game while hanging out with the Prince click two months ago....

u can tell the wolves are lurkin......

Them aint the type of niggas u just wanna be around in H-Town bruh.
Industry niggaz need to stay far the fuck away from all them niggas in Houston.
My question is why is he doing that shit and or rolling that way by himself? That shit makes no sense to me. I’m not blaming his death on him but ain’t no way in hell he should be by himself. At least 5 shooters should have been with him…

I remember this situation, I shared it with my home boy letting him know that Takeoff was not the only victim in Houston surrounding a dice game in recent months.

It's interesting to see, cause there are not too many big name black jewelers.
Imagine Johnny Dang or Jacob being around these types of situations.

Overall when black people reach a certain level they should practice situational awareness...
People, regardless of their level, should practice situational awareness…

Answer the question. For clarity.
I was a declaration of exasperation, not a call to a particular entity or person. When you watching a game and yell "get these garbage ass niggas up outta here", you aren't calling the front office. And stop actin like we ain't been over the police shit already either nigga. Quit being fake.

But also the streets can get em, God can get em, you can get em, they fuck w mine and I'll get em, and I certainly do not give a fuck if granny robbing ass party shooting up ass niggas get they ass took to jail either.

I hope that's clear enough for you.

Right. And in that exchange you seem all for sitting back letting police clean up the community. Thus why I asked for clarity.

Nothing fake about me.

My position is that we can't sit back and be passive. That is cowardice and part of why the black community is how it is.

I think where we disagree is I'm never ok with police getting black people.

Yeah see I said when I typed it that if you was a flaw ass nigga you was gon ignore and edit the police part. And lo and behold.

Niggas ain't stupid dawg. Blind neither.

Also, yes, that's exactly it. I'm against violent crime and not get money crime. Real niggas tend not to need the nuance explained to them.
I ain't edit shit. I quoted you. Who else you was calling for to "get these niggas" if not the laws?! You right, niggas ain't stupid.

I'ma literal person. We all know who gon call them laws on the next nigga just based on how he talk.

Real niggas ain't calling for somebody else to do for them what they can do for themselves.

But I'm flaw? :smh:

I'm not, fam. I didn't accuse you of calling the police, only of having the position of acquiescence to their authority over the protection of our community. But you call it exasperation :dunno: that ain't gon effect change tho, and you challenged me on policing ourselves, calling it a thought exercise.

I understand you haven't called 12, I get it. I just disagree with them having more control of our spaces than us when WE the ones being effected by bullshit.

I guess I struck a nerve with the sweatervest shit.

My nerves harder to find than that my boy. You was trying to though.

But you know what D, I would definitely call the police in a situation that merited calling the police. Because I'm not the fucking police. I'm not sure exactly what shape you are envisioning your version of community policing taking, but I am sure that when it stops being anything other than talking to niggas, it starts being shit that will itself run afoul of the law. And that, my friend, is stupid.

I also think it's ridiculous to think you could start a separate justice system independent of the one that currently exists. Obviously the system is full of fuck shit but you show me a nigga that don't think jails and prisons should exist and I'll show you a nigga ain't been in one.

I'm a pragmatist. I like plans over goals. A goal without a plan is a fairytale. I'm not a fairytale type nigga. I wish we lived in a world where you could talk niggas outta being turds. We do not. I wish we lived in a world where the only system we have didn't also target the fuck out of us. We do not. I'm not a fairytale type nigga. You want a fairytale.

One of the comments said Jas and Jr grew up in a gated community and went to private schools and got everything they wanted. Like most rich kids. Those tend to be the most dangerous types because they feel they need to prove something.

Just had that convo with a buddy of mines one our buddies grew up in high class went off to college and came back like a member of the Boot Camp Click :roflmao:

I be going straight to the slums and Barrio...and get the connect.. when ever I fly out...and sometimes even cop a throwaway pocket rocket... YOU HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO MOVE....brah
I'll go to the slums, it won't be to engage in bullshit, tho.
I went to Comuna 13 in Medellin, Colombia.
San Basilio de Palenque 45 minutes south of Cartegeña.
The slums & strip club in Montego Bay.

I go for the culture, I'm comfortable around my people. I show respect, and its reciprocated.

I hear you. I'm not calling police for nothing except insurance reasons. I'm not thinking of a fairytale at all, just an existence that is not dependent upon the same folks that see no value in us beyond being prey or the permanent underclass.

I'm perfectly fine running afoul of the law. The shape I'm thinking of is disregarding the law to the extent it jeopardizes my peace. I have been to jail, its not nearly as bad as living a compromised life in the free world.
Its definitely trade offs.

I ain't getting into it with niggas, I know how to deal with them. My issues is with the police and these CACs. Like Soulja Slim said, "the D.A. and the judge the one hating on you".

I get it, I'm more recalcitrant than most, I'm waiting on them to pull my card.

:smh:Whats the point of checking in, if the people you with. Is on some bullshit.

Checking in has never been about protection. It has been used as a method of extortion. Rappers like the term checking in because it sounds better than I got bitched by another group and was forced to give them money against my will.

Ironically, the high level rappers are probably extorted by choice. Most rappers want to give the appearance of being criminals or affiliated in some manner. Even music acts like Omarion and Nick Cannon have done interviews were they claimed to be affiliated with criminal organizations. Why would either of these two men feel the need to mention this? Some other black artists started claiming certain criminal organizations well after being very successful entertainers. Rappers aren't being extorted as much as wanting to seem like they are from the streets or they live what they talk about. The funny part to me is if you are as street as you claim and you are on some shot them up shit, why are you checking in and don't give them the excuse of we are in a different city/state.

Academiks said something interesting. Black culture is becoming crime culture and if you are not willing to snitch on criminals you are helping crime culture over take black culture. While I don't necessarily agree on his statement his bigger point on snitching isn't wrong.

In the past, people wouldn't work with law enforcement because they wouldn't protect you or your family from the criminals long term. I respect and completely understand not wanting to put your family at risk especially for non violent crimes. today, not snitching has morphed into a belief that working with the police is wrong and street justice will correct all wrongs. Worse, the average criminal doesn't live by the rules of not snitching. I'm sure there is a minority that would never snitch, but the reality is the majority either have nothing to negotiate with to reduce time or are in fear of their life or their family. I can't recall who it was but I watched an interview with someone talking why snitching allegedly didn't happen much in the past. One the people who were still on the street took care of the family of the person who went in and took care of that person when they came home. The most important part to me was sentencing was not 20, 30 years or life on average. So most were willing to sit down for 1 year to 5 with extremes being 10. To me, criminals of the past weren't throwing away their entire lives for a principal like the criminals of today are.

Only rap artists are threatened with having to “check in” and are much more likely to be robbed than other entertainers. One of the reasons for this is that criminals know the rappers are less likely to cooperate with Police and they are able to get away with the crime.

This is in addition to self hate aspects of course.
