Truth be told this shit been going on for decades with teacher, pastors, police and others. Hell when I was in middle school our female security guard had many trains ran on her before she just up a disappeared. About mid 80s all the old grandma and grandpa looking teachers were getting replaced by younger teachers.

I don't think these type of cases are on the rise. It's just easier to get caught up with phones and apps now. I remember hearing these types of rumors in Jr.High/HS but no one could ever confirm it. Much harder to deny if you got evidence on a device. Or even prove you telling the truth if you bragging to your boys.
I've seen a couple of cases in one of my old stomping grounds. One case involved a teacher letting her daughters friends run trains on her. She contacted them through social media and would invite them over for alcohol. These were HS boys who would tell their parents they were going to help her move some shit. She blamed it on alcohol and going through a bad divorce.
Another case involved a teacher giving head to a HS boy in the parking lot after hours. He never spoke on it. His mom went through an old phone of his and found text messages. She turned it over to the cops and the brought charges on her. Dude had already been in college for a year or two. Chick was still charged because he was in HS when it happened.
