Let say as an influencer I openly support Kamala like what LeBron did for Hillary Clinton. I might face some tongue lashing from right wing media but nothing too harsh. Now that I look back on this, he was preemptively protecting himself by getting politically involved rather than being neutral showing he had no support for Trump. You don't want these people assuming anything because you are silent.
