The real question is: when they do that, do they re-string the guitar? Before he was famous, Jimi, like most lefties, bought or borrowed a right handed guitar, then flipped the order of the strings, so that the heaviest string was still at the bottom. Therefore, there is no difference between right handed player as opposed to a left handed player - except for how the guitar isstructured. That part that stick out almost parallel to the neck could, concievably, hamper access to a string. But most lefties mmake accomodation for that. If you watch Jimi, he lifts his right hand over further to make a chord.
My list:
Jimi
Eddie Hazel
Freddie King
Michael Hampton
Ernie Isley
Buddy Guy
George Harrison
Brian May (on the strength of his tone on "We Are The Champions" alone!)
Jeff Beck
Duane Allman
BB KIng. He may have had limited skills - but the delivery of that blue note is primary,
And for the record, Stevie Ray Vaughn isnothing more than a copycat, so that white people can have their hope playing Black music without being N***** around them.
