"Let's Do It Again" is definitely one of the best comedies in the genre.

You ain't lying. One of the better done Black movies of its time. Great story, plot, acting, few plot holes, Black directory - @Selfscience what quantifies a Blaxploitation? Not sure the Cosby/Poitier films fit. Uptown Saturday night was the shit, too

The definition is very subjective. Many folks have their own interpretation and mine changes often. I count the Poitier/Cosby films a part of the genre. So yes, the Uptown Trilogy (Uptown Saturday Night, Let's Do it Again, and A Piece of the Action) fits into the genre.

Sidney's films where he usually was the lone Black actor walks a fine line depending on the movie. But because many films in the 60s and 70s had some type of racial undertone it's hard to differentiate what is and what isn't blaxploitation. For example, "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" is not a blaxploitation film, but it kinda is. It's not really not a part of that era of the 70s. So in essence, just about all Black films or films that contain a lead Black actor/actress are blaxploitation. Ponder on that for a minute...

Paul Winfield is such an underappreciated actor. This film is definitely off the charts!

He played Martin Luther King in what was a classic TV miniseries portrayal and sold it even though he looked was nothing like Dr King -

Yeah, I have been looking for a remastered copy of this. I hope it comes to fruition at some point.

Tanya's Island is on the way. It's a VHS copy. I doubt this film gets remastered. Vanity got raped by an ape in that movie. Other than her body being exposed for much of the film, this movie is trash.

Man those women back then were incredible. 100% Real women. Nothing fake all real.

Great Premise bad movie. I ordered this on VHS about 10 ears ago. Its just not a good movie, the plot is bad, its boring, the action takes about an hour to get going. But it could be remade or the plot reworked.

There were many movie like that, especially when Hollywood was over-producing those films. Check this graph I made.

'73-'77 Hollywood just went bananas. They produced quantity over quality.
