The reasons for seniors to use marijuana are many. They are the first generation of elderly Americans to have grown up with marijuana as a common recreational drug. With cannabis now legalized or at least decriminalized in many areas, they can finally indulge without fear of repercussions.
In addition, the golden years bring new freedom from drug tests and other employment-related barriers to cannabis use. Our newest batch of senior citizens has plenty of time and money to enjoy marijuana and few good reasons to just say no.
Last, the health benefits of medical marijuana are particularly attractive to this age group. Many of them are beginning to deal with age-related complaints such as joint pain, glaucoma, and other medical problems that cannabis is known to alleviate. In an age where other pain medications are increasingly difficult to get, marijuana may be the best non-prescription alternative.

But the trend isn’t as unusual as it might sound: Many of the ailments cannabis is most often used to treat are those that often plague the elderly, such as joint inflammation and pain, insomnia, muscle spasms, and decreased appetite.

Last time I was in NYC saw public service ads warning people the dangers of smoking K2 (aka fake weed that can land you in the hospital)

hey Im not knocking you to each his own. when I was younger..
pre teens I remember going to the movies and dudes would roll up, and I hated that smell with a passion..
then....I grew up...
nah I remember I tried it and had a good ol time laughin my ass off.. and back then there was only really one type of smell..
but NOW bruh vaping weed, now and days, bruh you got vapes that smell just like blueberries and shit..
you got weed now that has a citrus taste and smell to it..
but everybody is different.. some folks love the smell

That doesnt surprise me one bit.. You figure if you can get these older folks unbrainwashed from years and years of government misinformation.. They will figure out that they have been mislead all their life and cannabis is helping them have a better life. Instead of popping all those man-made pills that work for one thing but has 50 side effects that will either kill them or end them up in the hospital!! Me personally, I would like to see 90% of the elderly taking cannabis or sum type of cbd!! I hate to see an elderly person with their heads down and looking all lifeless, when the government knows damn well that cbd's helps in many ways.. Theres a reason the government pulled the first patent on cannabis and then keep fighting cannabis like it was public enemy #1!! All they were doing was protecting big pharm!!

Vaping is a bong like hit, you feel it within the first 60 seconds, it's such a hit until after 30 minutes you don't feel like your still high, even though you should, it also goes thru your supply faster unless you fucking with extract.

The high when vaping doesn't seem to last as long compared to smoking a leaf to me.
280-320 degrees is my vape sweet spot, but to this point...

Im gonna have to disagree about vaping weed going faster...
I have the volcano vaporizer, had for dam near ten years now.... and a gram of weed which will last me about an hour in one blunt..
last three with a big six foot ballon bag and after ONE you good for the night...
the key is not to set the temputure too high.. if you do then you are burnin the herb and that will deplete your stash faster..
an eighth of weed could last me five days on my volcano vaporizer... shit with blunts that shit is gone by day three...

There is the dry herb “baking” vape and there is the oil.
The “baking” vape has a very short high and a huge waste of money and dry herb.
The oil on the other hand is way different. My high experiences are great and can last me throughout the day with just one or two hits every 2 to 3 hours. Sometimes longer.

My experience with he vapes are the complete opposite. The oils last me over for a while. It’s too easy to get high as fuck with he oil.
yea the volcano vaporizer isnt a pen at all... its a table top vaporizer...
shit was over a thousand dollars when I purchased it.. but it should be a lot cheaper now..

and tons of spring water.. also must take a lot of vit c.. as smoking especially blunts depletes vit c from your body..

lemon water works great too.. just squeeze some lemon juice on water.. and drink as you smoke...
you can get all types of diseases from lack of vit c...

It's amazing how many idiots are walking among us. Drugs should all be handled like alcohol(Heroin will need special attachments for purchase). Driving under the influence, public consumption, public intoxication, etc, should be the only crimes you get punished for because of drugs. Yeah, it will take time for people to get used to folks being 21 and up and buying what they want, but that's how shit operated before drug prohibition. And for over a century of this madness(Harrison Act is from 1914), the percentage of addicts hasn't fucking changed.
I remember research saying 15 percent of folks who used alcohol were dependent, but just 8 percent of people who used cocaine were dependent.
So they get their 'pookie' stereotypes from 8 percent of users to make drugs seem like a scourge. Same way they do for weed. Now heroin got a dependency rate of 3 out of 10, but how many are functional out of that 3? Government needs to end this prohibition shit and people need to wake up and concentrate on identifying and treating addicts and education.

How’d I miss this study right down the road at Hopkins? I’ve pretty much given up smoking weed, mainly because I can’t roll joints well. I’m a fan of the Kynd brand of oils and puff mainly in the evening before I go to bed. I sleep like the proverbial baby, even though I’ve got a very painful hip that needs to be replaced. Vaping works for me.

I remember as a kid walking in on my uncle injecting heroin.. That was the first time he ever screamed at me.. My mom told me, he picked up that bad habit in Nam.. He needed help his whole life but he was afraid of getting it, because he didnt want to be labeled! He ended up dying from aids, it was a bad deal he was a pretty cool kat just couldnt kick that habit! Its was during those years, I figured out he needed medical help more than anything! I have tried kingpin. One of the better pens on the market by far. I prefer select oils over it, but kingpin does make a great product. The new Pax cartridges are great too. I can smoke at work , and prefer to roll, because I cant keep my Volcano at work, and i like dry flower over oil. I keep a pen in my car tho for when I go out.

Heroin is easy to handle in a sensible world. Adults would apply for a FREE heroin card issued on the spot. Card needs to be presented with purchase. Heroin users can then be maintained in a database. Ones who used above a certain amount could be targeted for FREE help. Without the bullshit budget for a drug war, it would be a lot easier to help heroin users. Coke, meth, and weed have addiction rates lower than tobacco and alcohol, so heroin(opiates) is where most help should be targeted. There would be money to spare without this bullshit prohibition hustle.

I can go buy two cases of beer and two cartons of smokes right now, but need a card for a less addictive and damaging substance(and I don't even smoke weed).
