The Chappelle Theory

This shit might be fake as hell, who knows:dunno: but you have to admit it was a hell of a read:yes:

It's scary that people would actually believe that outrageous nonsense. I guess the Chappelle Show writers know their audience (conspiracy-minded, paranoid black dudes) very well, which is why the program was such a success.

this shit dosent make sense..... if they have a so-called "Dark Crusaders" why the fuck is bet still making the bullshit they making? :smh::smh::smh:

Dude. That sounds like something out of a press release.

How in hell do run out of ideas and get burnt out as a comedian after only the second season, as you put it? I haven't studied dude to that capacity so I can't acknowledge it as fact.

You know why he couldn't come up with anything fresh? Because he's not naturally funny. He's a clown who was depended upon black people's problems as a crutch to ignite his coon fest.

His shock value dissolved. That's why he couldn't come up with anything new. And if you or anyone else wants to make excuses for the man, go ahead.

His show is funny to many people. I will never refute that. The Show was a success.

But you know why the show died? It's because he had a moment of clarity. That nigga card is all he had to play from. And you cats call him a comedic genius. Have at it.

The minstrel show is over. And good.
Your post in this thread "seem" to come from a person who is not very bright. I hope you're being satirical.

Misconception of satire

Because satire often combines anger and humour it can be profoundly disturbing - because it is essentially ironic or sarcastic, it is often misunderstood. In an interview with Wikinews, Sean Mills, President of The Onion, said angry letters about their news parody always carried the same message. "It’s whatever affects that person," said Mills. "So it’s like, 'I love it when you make a joke about murder or rape, but if you talk about cancer, well my brother has cancer and that’s not funny to me.' Or someone else can say, 'Cancer’s hilarious, but don’t talk about rape because my cousin got raped.' I'm using extreme examples, but whatever it is, if it affects somebody personally, they tend to be more sensitive about it."[19]
Common uncomprehending responses to satire include revulsion (accusations of poor taste, or that it's "just not funny" for instance), to the idea that the satirist actually does support the ideas, policies, or people he is attacking. For instance, at the time of its publication, many people misunderstood Swift’s purpose in "A Modest Proposal" – assuming it to be a serious recommendation of economically-motivated cannibalism. Again, some critics of Mark Twain see Huckleberry Finn as racist and offensive, missing the point that its author clearly intended it to be satire (racism being in fact only one of a number of Mark Twain's known pet bugbears attacked in Huckleberry Finn).

I have no insider knowledge, but, you do The Chappelle Show a disservice I'm sure it's demographic was slightly bigger than that. Hence the $50 million contract the star of the show was offered.!!!

I was being facetious (as most of the people on this board who've discussed the show over the years fall into that category), but the fact is that the show did a small rating on Comedy Central (as most shows there do), so the overall audience was tiny, but the show exploded on DVD. I think there's little doubt that most of Black America scooped it up. Few white people (besides supportive critics) ever talk about it. He's still a virtual unknown in the mainstream.

Probably just wanted to spend more time with his Family as well. Its like he said, Hollywood can do some things to you.

Anyone talking about he was cooning. These are same people who listen to Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Plies, etc.

I'm pretty sure you also think Boondocks is extreme coonage.
