Hes been surrounded by atleast two all stars (former/current), a solid bench scorer and ample shooters his entire career. This is about him and his stagnate game.

It's the fit of the players not the accolades. Akin to Embiid with Simmons. Conley is ineffective if he doesn't control the rock and Rudy still hasn't developed any kinda offensive game.

Add on the fact the coach doesn't close games with Clarkson only adds to defenses being able to force Mitchell into forced shots in the crunchtime

Rudy is a rim protector and finisher. He will never develop a offensive game. Its Donovans responsibility to know this and get him the ball in spots where he can score. Its also his responsibility to develop his own game as a ball handing combo guard. He hasnt done that. Defenses arent forcing DM into bad shots, a lack of preparation and improvement is. Oh, and hes also a near shit defender.

So Rudy doesn't have to improve but Mitchell does?

If it's on Mitchell to get him easy looks while being the main scorer what is Conley's role?

He can for sure improve defensively but do you that and his offense dips...

Yes.

DM is a top pick and roll guard but near fucking worst in actual free throws and fg% generated from P&R.

That tells you two things minimum. Hes a horrible shot taker and bad decision maker in passing.

If he in year five and still think Rudy should ever get the ball on the block and work then hes a fucking retard.

Rudy is a specialist. A defensive presence and finisher and multi time DPOY. What improvement do you want? Yes, Mitchell needs to improve as a ball handing franchise player max guard.

Conley is a role playing vet. His presence doesnt excuse DM lack of development.

Based on what? Since when cant a player display competent defense at age 25 without killing his offense?

So a perennial all-star can't improve because he's a specialist.. noted

Conley's presence is a conflict of interest if you want DM to run the show and move Conley off ball (a position he's never played in his life).

He is a competent defender who plays undersized in most matchups. A 6'0/6'2 backcourt never works unless you're Zeke and Joe

Can't argue with it. You know how much I'm in here praying that the coach spams Steph in Pnr because it's almost always an automatic bucket

Pelican drafted three rookies over 21 and you can see how highly effective it is. Hopefully teams see this and don't hesitate to draft a guy because he decided to stay in school longer or developed later
I wish the draft would have stayed in that lane. Team draft kids and try to raise them into manhood. Nah, you gotta let then have a few years in college to get kid energy out before joining a league full of grown men.
