BREAKING: Donald Trump delivers a truly bizarre speech about whales and windmills that leaves people scratching their heads — while throwing fuel on the fires of speculation that his brain is falling apart.
This one is weird even by Trump standards. During a campaign speech in South Carolina, Trump unleashed a lengthy and incoherent rant about the Biden administration, accusing them of "trying to bludgeon the boating and maritime industry." Specifically, Trump complained about the plan to implement a boating speed limit of 11 MPH that aims to prevent the accidental killing of whales.
"In other words, like a slow golf cart," whined Trump. "It's like a... Think of it!" "This is supposedly in the name of preventing whale strikes! But you have a better chance of being struck by lightning than hitting a whale with your boat," claimed Trump.
"There has only been — listen to this — one such whale killed off the coast of South Carolina in the last fifty years," he went on. "But on the other hand their windmills are causing whales to die in numbers never seen before. Nobody does anything about that."
Oddly, the MAGA crowd cheered at this point in Trump's befuddling speech, presumably because the absurd idea of windmills killing whales excites them. "The windmills are driving them crazy," Trump said of the whales. "They're driving... They're driving the whales I think a little batty. And they're washing up on shores at levels never seen before and they want to stop your boats. One in fifty years, can you imagine that?"
Trump is clearly losing what little mind he had to begin with. While President Biden is focused on job creation, expanding access to healthcare, building infrastructure, and defending democracy through voting rights, Donald Trump is babbling on about whales.
