I don't see it being successful. The Wayan's comedy has evolved to just being plain silly. The backbone of that show was Damon. The problem is that these are different times and people are much more sensitive that they were in the past.Especially when its black comedy. For one, they just cant do that gay critic sketch. The bum sketch is iffy because of the unemployment.I doubt they will do anything political either. In the past, In Living Color was the shit because it was edgy and had really talented comedians that were hungry.I don't see them getting that back.

If they are doing reunion specials Jammie Fox won't be there, dude head is too big.
Plus his only funny character Wanda, which was a rip off of Shenana.

The Wayans Family are very corny.

Most of their jokes are about stuff that you laugh at with your brothers and sister when you were 10.
Farts, Doo Doo, Snot, ect....
People don't want to see that now.

If the show features mostly the Wayans Family,
It will Fail.

Bringing the show back full time is like saying your bringing back the Arsenio Hall show.
It will fail.

Those shows worked for the era they were in. You can't relive the 90's.

No way Jim comes back.

Why wouldn't Jim at least make a 'cameo' in like 1 or 2 skits? :dunno:
Keenan's show "In Living Color" launched his ENTIRE career.

(Plus Jim & Keenan are real buddies "off camera")

Carrey has appeared on SNL countless times....
but would not appear on Keenan's show just ONCE...... after 20 years? :dunno:

Nah, I think he would. (If Keenan asked him)

Assist.

Wanda is not a ripoff of Sheneneh. :smh:
If anything, it's the other way around imo.
(And both are a ripoff, or homage to Flip Wilson's 'Geraldine' character, I think.)

Because "In Living Color" had already been on TV for 2 whole seasons....
before Martin Lawrence ever filmed his very FIRST episode of the "Martin" Show.

"In Living Color" started airing in 1990.
"Martin" started airing in 1992.

Plus, back when ILC was gaining 'mainstream' popularity in the suburbs...
if I remember correctly... Martin Lawrence was hosting "HBO: Def Comedy Jam". :dunno:
(i.e. He was the original host, right before he got his own tv show, but stayed for a short while after)

Just saying.

But i agree with the rest of what you wrote.
I hope they add some new talent. Not just the Wayans family. :smh:

Fox is a political motivated channel more than ever shit like this will not work anymore. They tryna get back the audiences they scared off with all their Republican propaganda and Obama bashing.

As if Rupert Murdock give to fucks about the Waynan Bros.
