They should have just given us our reparations, now look.

Either you are a racist CAC or you are the biggest Uncle Tom on here. Why would you use a Black Man's death in this way?
You idiot.
Shut up.

If you actively want people in power that will encourage black people to be killed with no consequences, then you cannot complain when they do kill black people. You literally voted for these people to be in power and therefore are encouraging everything they do.

How am I using a black man’s death you fucking idiot? Explain. You fucking shit for brains.

All of that aggressive tough talk. I can tell by reading it that you are coochie. My reply starts with YOUR words:

When a black person is killed by law enforcement, yall better not say shit.
Yall voted in Trump. You gonna get what you wanted.

Why do we “better not say shit if a black person is killed by law enforcement”? Nobody wants that. Because Trump won an election? What other race of people would accept such an offensive and derogatory comment? Would Jews, Asian,LBGTQ, Latino, white etc people say such a horrible thing about their own race/ group?

On top of that, Only 20% of Black folks voted for Trump. 2 out of 10. We are less than 15% of the voting population and we are concentrated in only a few areas of the US. If the 20% of Black voters that voted for Trump, voted for Harris, she still would have lost.

I already explained why you better not say nothing when a black person is killed by law enforcement.
Trump is all about it.
This thread is advocating voting for Trump.
Don't quote bullshit made up statistics that are not verified proof.

I’m not so much speaking for myself but:

Not everybody is as disgusted with Trump as your seem to be. A lot of people are not as concerned about his sound bites and agree with many of his stances on issues. A lot of people were doing better financially during Trump’s presidency and have been doing better since elected.

One problem in the US is that we get different news which gives different propaganda to each side. It’s a me vs them mentality. I’m very disappointed in the uproar and sadness from Black folks over Harris losing because there wasn’t a big enough difference between the two when it comes to Black folks.

the only people doing better financially at this point is wallstreet and they would have had a bump in any case once the election was over.

Unemployment has been getting lower since Obama's last term and has been low thru Bidens term.

Agree with many of his stances basically boils down to tamping down on the LGBT community (like people dont have gays and trans in their families..hell elon musk's own kid is trans.)

As far as the border issue wasnt there a thread created that pointed out that biden was deporting people at a higher clip than trump...and didnt people on the left complain that Obama was "deporter-in-chief" during his terms??

And wasnt a big difference between the two when it comes to black folks meaning harris wouldnt stand up and shout that when she gets in office black americans WILL get reparations and special policy ONLY for Black Americans. (even tho ANY movement no matter how small or incremental on those fronts are coming from the left and dems)

So the response is to root for someone to win where those issues are a nonstarter in ANY capacity.

The reality is ANY legislation that benefits blacks isnt going to just be ONLY for blacks. Hell the civil rights legislation of the 60s wasnt JUST for blacks even as we led the charge for it. And while a case can be made that there was policies like jim crow laws predicated on jamming up blacks we werent the ONLY ones affected by it. I dont remember reading stories about other minorities having hey-days during that time..so even negative policy didnt affect JUST black americans last century.

And any policy that has passed for gays and asians might SEEM like exclusive rights or programs but in reality the "asian hate crime law" is really a databasing study on how much crime is committed against them. The law doesnt include punishment or penalties..that would fall under basic hate crimes period.

As for LGBT rights... transgender people are protected from discrimination in the United States:

Employment
The Supreme Court ruled in 2020 that discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity is illegal under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. This means that employers cannot discriminate against transgender or non-binary employees in hiring, promotion, or other employment practices.

Housing
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) interprets the Fair Housing Act to include discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

Custody and visitation
Courts generally only consider factors that directly affect the child's best interests when making custody or visitation rulings. This means that transgender parents are usually treated the same as other parents.

Some states also have laws that protect transgender people from discrimination. For example, California law protects transgender and gender non-conforming people from discrimination in employment, and the Civil Rights Department enforces these protections.

now tell me how NONE of this applies to Black Americans or ONLY applies to trannys??

And its just plain NOT realistic to think there will be enough consensus across the country and major parties to get 20 TRILLION in reparations passed for JUST black americans.

Whats to stop trump from making it unconstitutional for reparations for slavery to be done?? He's got scotus in pocket and gets more picks (theyre already calling for Sotomayor to retire)

Whats to stop the right from whitewashing american history in the school system so that future generations wont know how bad bad got not only in american slavery but in the last century as well. How does that benefit Black Americans???

How about cutting social programs like medicaid and ACA?? How would that benefit poor and working class Black Americans??

I am not looking for a debate with you. You asked me a question and I answered it honestly.
Btw, I don't work in wallstreet, but I have made over $140k in the past 6 days from Bitcoin, Tesla stock and Tesla Options( 1/25 $300 Call and 1/25 $350 Call) I know quite a few other brothers that made quite a bit in these past 6 days too. I'm genuinely not saying that to brag, but hopefully to motivate you. Are you going to spend these next 4 years complaining and arguing or will you spend these next 4 years building? I highly recommend that you use this same energy to look into what Tesla is currently doing and buy some stock. There are multiple brothers on here that have double digits in Bitcoin. I found out about Bitcoin on BGOL. Just agree to disagree on the politics and use that same energy in a more productive direction. I promise you won't regret it 4 years from now.

I understand that but I'm just examining what that answer means and what sense it makes in the grandscheme of american society and black americans part in it.

I don't speak for all and maybe not even most Black Americans. I'm in my mid 40's and in California. Most of the Brothers I know are conservative when it comes to social issues. The Black community has not had a consistent issue with treating gay people fairly or committing violence against gay people. We were never the main ones beating up gays or not giving them opportunities when they have earned them. That said, most of us don't believe that homosexuality should be taught in schools. Most of us don't believe that parents should have a right to know if their child identifies as another gender. We don't believe in most of the Tran sexual movement. Its not that we are "homophobic" or scared to be gay. We just simply don't think it is right and we don't want our kids exposed to it as "normal". Most of us aren't as supportive of illegal immigration as progressives. Illegals are competing for the same resources as our brothers. Many Black men are competing for jobs, housing and other resources with immigrants. Black folks used to pick agriculture for extra money in the 60's and 70's. Kids used to mow lawns for extra money. Black men were the neighborhood mechanics and handymen when I was a kid in the 80's. Black folks worked at the fast food restaurants, were the janitors, and all of these jobs that people are saying "only mexicans want to do". Our schools are underfunded but a large percentage of their budgets go to immigrant student resources. Many brothers feel that the US should support legal citizens before taking in more immigrants. Black folks actually agree more with moderate conservatives than progressive liberals on many key issues.

With Kamala, there were alot of asterisks. She didn't have a Black father present in her formative years because her mother up and took her away from him. Then she married a white Jewish husband. She lost alot of points with Black men when she said that she wouldn't do anything specifically for Black folks. This created mistrust because Biden did not make us a priority and many of us felt betrayed.

When it comes to issues that directly impact Black folks, there isn't a significant difference between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

Again I'm NOT debating you I'm examining the view and thought process...
Youre right that many blacks are socially conservative and that our views and values tend to align with conservative whites in some ways..BUT the problem is because we're black...we DONT factor in race in that equation. Whites do. The same conservatives whites who take issue with gays and trans ALSO created segregation/jim crow laws...and the chinese exclusion act that kicked out asians for like 4 decades etc etc. So race is ALWAYS a factor in how they move.

And views on immigration is also where we agree more than disagree BUT AGAIN...race is a factor. "I will tell you that coming from the border, are millions and millions of people that happen to be taking Black jobs," Trump said. The irony of that statement is that Donald Trump’s grandfather, Friedrich Trump immigrated from Germany to America in 1885. What do you think those European peasants coming over in droves at that time were doing?? The ONLY time immigration is a serious problem is when its nonwhites coming here. Throwing in our lot with conservative whites doesn't necessarily mean progress for us... Blacks supported and voted (those that could vote) for Lincoln because of his abolition stance on slavery. In that, our views aligned...but the same person who signed the emancipation proclamation is also the same person who said this:

“There is a physical difference between the white and the black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together... while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any man am in favor having the superior position assigned to the white race.”
Lincoln made these remarks during one of a series of debates in 1858 with Stephen Douglas.
In the same speech Lincoln said: “I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races.”

This is a socially conservative person who thought slavery was an abomination. And Blacks supported him and the Republican party at the time.

Did Lincoln REALLY feel and believe that or was he just saying that because he knew what his voting base wanted to hear?

Saying that black men felt betrayed by Harris, Biden and the Dems isnt so much a calculation as it is an emotion. A calculated response is saying I wont do policy exclusively for Blacks because it will alienate other groups I need votes from. An emotional response is saying I feel betrayed that you're not giving me demands that have no consensus on the political landscape and you married a white jew.
