She hasn't been convicted of murdering anyone and seems to simply be obsessed w/ tigers. This is humiliating (in addition to what the documentary already did to her) and I feel bad for her, which was actually pretty unexpected.

Not sure what it is, but this seems wrong. Creative, but wrong nonetheless.

I just watched Tiger King and my mind is blow by all the redneck shit that went on at that place!!!!

A bunch of toothless idiots! Just insanity!!!!

When dude shot his self in the head and they captured that goofy campaign manager's reaction, that was just intense.

One big thing too is how they handled loaded weapons all the time pointing at other people and Joe's dumbass firing off rounds in people's general direction was reckless as shit!

While Carole Baskin is practicing her tango on Dancing With the Stars, Joe Exotic will be hanging out at Amazon. Well, Nicholas Cage as Joe Exotic that is. Variety reports that the scripted series about Tiger King star Joe Exotic starring Nicholas Cage is being developed by Amazon Studios. The project was originally in the works with CBS Television Studios and Imagine Television in May, and now Amazon has jumped aboard. The television series is based on the Texas Monthly article “Joe Exotic: A Dark Journey Into the World of a Man Gone Wild,” by Leif Reigstad, and follows a young Joe Exotic, née Joe Shreibvogel, as he risks his own health, both physical and mental, to keep his beloved park open. Per Variety, the Nicholas Cage–led series “will live in the lion’s den with Joe, explore how he became Joe Exotic, and how he lost himself to a character of his own creation.” How exotic.

One of the subjects of Netflix’s Tiger King is back in the news this week, and it’s not for dancing the samba in a lion costume. Per the New York Times, Bhagavan “Doc” Antle was indicted Friday on two felony charges, wildlife trafficking and conspiracy to wildlife traffic, as well as 13 other misdemeanor charges related to conspiracy to violate the Endangered Species Act and animal cruelty.

According to the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia, two of Antle’s daughters, Tawny Antle and Tilakum Watterson, were also indicted on misdemeanor charges, while Keith A. Wilson of Wilson’s Wild Animal Park in Winchester, Virginia was charged with two felonies and 17 misdemeanors.

The indictment is the result of a months-long investigation into lion cubs both men allegedly trafficked between Virginia and South Carolina, where Antle operates his exotic animal park. Wilson and his nephew Christian Dall’Acqua had previously been indicted on 46 counts of animal cruelty in November 2019, and will go to trial for those previous charges in June 2021.

After the indictment was made public on Friday, Antle refuted the allegation he had committed animal cruelty. “I categorically deny any act or conduct that could ever be considered as ‘animal cruelty,’” he said said in a statement. “I have spent my entire professional life promoting the welfare and conservation of big cats and other species.”

That Joe vs Carole joint just doesn't hit like tiger king does. It's OK. But after seeing the actual real unfold this scripted shit is just OK. A few more details about what was already shown but it's hard to tell if it's real or just made up.

Dean Winters is in constant pain from multiple amputations
By Nicki Gostin
November 2, 2021 | 3:24pm

Dean Winters is still in constant agony after undergoing several amputations 12 years ago.
“I haven’t taken a step since 2009 without being in pain,” the 57-year-old actor exclusively told Page Six. “I’ve got neuropathy on, you know, on a whole different level where I can’t feel my hands and my feet. But if I stepped on a pebble, it’s like I go through the roof.”
In June of that year, Winters contracted a bacterial infection and went into cardiac arrest for over two minutes during an ambulance ride across Central Park. Paramedics revived him, but he suffered through multiple operations and gangrene, which resulted in the amputation of two toes and half of a thumb.
But over the years, the “Oz” alum has just learned to live with the endless discomfort.
“It’s a very weird dichotomy. It’s like, it’s very hard to figure out. Nothing you can do about it,” he said. “I’ve been sucking it up because, you know, the alternative is not a place where I want to be.”

Winters said he had initially turned down his memorable role as the character Mayhem in Allstate insurance commercials because he was in the hospital undergoing a 10th surgery. He eventually gave in, though, as he said, “Allstate was relentless.”
“It’s crazy if you look in the Webster dictionary, the Old English definition of the word ‘mayhem’ is ‘one with amputations.'”

Not only is Allstate reviving his Mayhem character but Winters has several other big projects in the works, including a holiday flick called “Christmas Vs. The Walters.”
As for whether he gets into the holiday spirit, Winters insisted he’s no Grinch.
“I come from a big Scottish-Irish family, and we celebrated Christmas a lot,” he explained. “Our whole lives, but I’m single with no kids, so I don’t have the immediate experience at home. But … I rely on the rest of my family for that.”

And that’s not all the “Rescue Me” star has in the pipeline. Last year, he spent months in Australia shooting the highly anticipated Peacock adaption of the Netflix docuseries “Tiger King” called “Joe Exotic.”
In it, he plays Jeff Lowe, the bandanna-wearing, Las Vegas-loving businessman who partnered up with Joe Exotic. For the role, Winters gained 20 pounds while sitting in a Sydney hotel room under quarantine, which he achieved by microwaving pint after pint of ice cream and downing them like smoothies.

Winters clarified that the series doesn’t use real tigers, and he’s hopeful that it will shine a light on the disturbing tiger industry.
“I took the job in hopes that people who hadn’t seen the documentary would just get really angry and just shut these zoos down because there’s no reason anyone should have any of these wild cats in their own possession,” he said. “It’s just horrible.”
