The "trailer" pictured is the Airsteam Land Yacht. The base model *starts* at $146,632.

Tony Hseih owns the "trailer park" which as you can see is filled with expensive Airstreams owned by corporate execs who just want to live a few feet away from the corporate offices.
Shared amenities include kitchen, laundry, community pantry, an outdoor living room with fire pits and coworking buses. And then there’s a wish list: pool, dome, tents, solar, a playroom for kids.

Inside, the Airstreams are sleek and high-tech, with wood paneling, stainless-steel appliances, a Bluetooth stereo and two TVs.

Nights are typically more lively, though not always. Each night there’s a bonfire and a movie, usually an action flick, projected onto a blow-up screen.

Before joining Zappos, the Harvard graduate co-founded the internet advertising networking site LinkExchange. He sold this company to Microsoft for $265 million in 1999.
He invested the money he made from that sale into Zappos and became its chief executive in 1999.
He then showed off his ability to capitalize on his investment by selling the company to Amazon and making more than a billion, setting him up to begin using his money to experiment.
Born in Illinois and raised in San Francisco, he is first generation Taiwanese American. Both of his parents were born in Taiwan and then emigrated to America.
He also appears to be ahead of the curve on internet business trends.
Erik Moore, an early Zappos investor, told Business Insider: 'Money is just a way for Tony to get to his endgame.'
'Money just doesn't matter to him. If he only had a million dollars left, he'd spend $999,999 to make Vegas work.

'He would be just as happy with a dollar in the bank and being around people he cares about and care about him.'

why waste money and build a big ass house that you only used 10% of...

he can take his crib with him and save money

I can't argue that. If I hit the Mega Millions I'm living right here. The only difference is I'll pay somebody to do my landscaping instead of slaving like I did today. No way in hell I would have made it as a slave. Fuck that an hour and a half of raking and my ass felt like I was about to die.

but back on point, if I hit it big I would pay this bitch off, outfit it like I want it, make my man cave the man cave of man caves (I have a dream of inside the wall fish tanks all the way around the basement) and that's it. I don't have to live like an NFL player just because I have millions in the bank. that's the best way to keep your millions is to not look like you have millions

I respect it and not surprised at all
hell if I ever came up like that I'd do the same but I'd be donned if ya'll ever find out or find me.

y'all keeping believe these rich people living humble sotries like suckers. I'm tired of people talking about how Buffet has lived in the same house for decades yet they never mention that he owns other property, the same with the ikea guy. y'all need to realize that being the humble rich guy is a marketing strategy because thats what poor people want to see.

This, what's the point of having money to live like you are below the poverty line, I'm not saying you need to buy louis V dental floss but you don't have to recycle the same dental floss for 5 months either

Truth!! You don't get that rich without stepping on some throats, so the "i have one ceiling fan" stuff is just schtick.

This is sad and shocking.

Zappos came through in the clutch when it came out for I could not find my size anywhere.

Man, on the holiday too.

Will a condolences thread be made for this pioneer.

Maybe he wasn't planning on staying like but a lot of rich people don't like making other people rich or are scared of going broke so they live modest as hell

All that :money:but when it's time to go...

WTF?

He came to my state to die?

He coulda chilled with me - we ain't have no fire-
just a little spilled grease while frying the bird...

I’m glad for him if he is happy
Screw putting on a show for others.

RIP.

Dude stepped up and helped the folks of Las Vegas during the recession.

He put his money to good use back then.
