Congrats brother!
Its official. I am now
Confucius, MSN, APRN FNP-C!!!
The fuckin' marathon ninjas!!!
I would tell him to go niw while young. Being a black male in medicine has alot of perks if finessed properly. I would go the FNP route because it is the broadest and there are many jibs. Acute care NP is popping too...but u gotta be in the hospital all the time. CRNA if he is smart...like MD-smartProps bro. You're part of an elite group now. I'm pushing my son to go back now. He's got his BSN last year. He's only 23. The nurse manager, other nurses, and even patients are telling him. His clinical knowledge is off the chain. What advise would you give him?
No doubt!who mentored you? Dr. Truth?
Amazing.
You started something big and finished it
Well done
Now that you've done this there's nothing you can't do
Keep that with you on your journey as you encounter ppl in your field who will test you and treat you like you don't belong. You do. Refocus regroup realize you are worthy
Go kick ass

Ninja i havent really slept good for weeks...
Most ICUs have new grad programs...i went straight to ICU from nursing school...only unit i ever worked besides ERThx. CRNA was the plan but he needs a year of ICU and nobody wants a new grad in ICU. My wife is a RN and has pull and still couldn't get him in. He's working Med Surg now. He's going for Acute Care. He says he wants to be in the hospital. His boy at work is a DNP and is trying to talk him into that but he can't see it. He would have went the MD route if he wanted to go to school that long so he says. He's super book smart.
There are so many scholarships...my bro got 90k for CRNA scholarshipsThx. CRNA was the plan but he needs a year of ICU and nobody wants a new grad in ICU.
