Story highlights

  • President Barack Obama has repeatedly pledged a smooth transition
  • President-electt Donald Trump tweeted that was 'NOT!' the case

(CNN)Donald Trump accused President Barack Obama on Wednesday of making "many inflammatory statements and roadblocks" during the President-elect's transition to the White House.

"Doing my best to disregard the many inflammatory President O statements and roadblocks. Thought it was going to be a smooth transition - NOT!" Trump tweeted.
The tweet comes after Obama said in an interview published this week that he could have beaten Trump in the 2016 election if he were eligible to run a third time.
"I am confident in this vision because I'm confident that if I had run again and articulated it, I think I could've mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it," Obama told his former senior adviser David Axelrod in an interview for the "The Axe Files" podcast, produced by the University of Chicago Institute of Politics and CNN.
Obama's exit interview: I could've won again
Although Hillary Clinton beat Trump in the popular vote by almost 2.9 million ballots, the business mogul won more electoral votes and thus the presidency,
Trump disputed Obama's claim that he could have won, citing voters' displeasure with the Affordable Care Act, terrorism and the economy.
"President Obama said that he thinks he would have won against me. He should say that but I say NO WAY! - jobs leaving, ISIS, OCare, etc.," Trump tweeted Monday.
For the most part, Trump and Obama have steered away of directly criticizing one another since the election. The two met in the White House two days after Trump was elected and have talked by phone several times since them.
"I must tell you, you know, I never met him before this. I never spoke to him before this. I really -- I do like him," Trump previously said. "I love getting his ideas. And I may differ in many cases. I differ very greatly."

He couldn't argue "economy" as a displeasure in the American people. Obama got the unemployment rate below 5%. Also, there are too many people using Obamacare to have affected voting results adversely for Obama.

But anyway, I think it was that Michael Moore dude who said Trump wouldn't complete his presidency due to workload.

It really is a difficult job. Didn't Bush Jr. go on vacation for damn near 1/3 of one of his terms due to stress?

Bailed the shit out of the American auto Industry saving 1millon jobs.

Hillary should have simply echoed President Obama and she'd have won.

Report: Trump Jr. offered Kasich chance to be "the most powerful VP in history"

Republican nominee Donald Trump reportedly offered Ohio Gov. John Kasich a chance to be his vice president with a vast policy portfolio, according to a new report.

Donald Trump Jr. went to a Kasich adviser with an offer, the report in the New York Times Magazine, said: if Kasich joined the ticket, he could be "the most powerful vice president in history."

By that, Trump Jr. said he meant Kasich would "be in charge of domestic and foreign policy," according to the Times.

When the Kasich adviser asked what Trump would then be in charge of, Trump Jr. simply replied: "Making America great again."

If Trump was hoping for a positive answer from Kasich, it has seemed from the start like that wouldn't happen. Despite the fact that he's the governor of the state in which the Republican convention is being held, Kasich has made it clear he will not be attending the convention.

Back in June, he told CBS' John Dickerson it was "absolutely" a possibility for him to walk into the convention hall without endorsing Trump, and to date, he has not.

Still, he's been present in Cleveland and around the state for a handful of other events, including some that seemed almost designed to troll Trump--including a speech to the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a meeting with the Mexican ambassador to the U.S.

The rhetoric between Trump's advisers and Kasich's advisers has also ratcheted up since the convention began. Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort said Monday that Kasich is "embarrassing his party in Ohio" by not showing up to the convention, calling his lack of endorsement "a dumb, dumb, dumb thing."

Kasich's team said the governor is "taking the high road." "He's not going to get into a back-and-forth with anybody this week," spokesman Chris Schrimpf told Politico.

Trump responded to the story by tweeting that he never asked Kasich to join the ticket:

He trying to give away as much responsibility of his office as he can.

Yeah, I expect him to do something impeachable. I'll be surprised if he makes it through the first year.

Holy shit. I wondered how Trump was getting 15 fucking percent, and then I see that Hillary Clinton has been the most admired women damn near every year since 1993. :hmm: Who the fuck are they polling? Hillary is one of the most hated collection of cells walking the face of the earth.
