Trump cutting off aid to Africa might be for the best

USAID freeze is a chance for Africa to pursue self-sufficiency, without having to worry about someone else's agenda. Secondly african leaders love to outsource their problems to someone else while they pocket state funds hopefully people will start asking the right questions with no usaid to mask the cracks.

My cynical view is USAID to Africa is not done out of any sense U.S. largesse. The aid is largely given for leverage and influence.
If true, the influence void created will quickly be filled by the Chinese and the U.S dollars going in the pockets of corrupt African officials will simply be replaced by the Chinese Yuan. Trump's racist ending of USAID to Africa is shortsighted and the America's shaky level of influence on the continent will be further eroded.

I am sick of these countries meddling in the elections, planting these black faced candidates. It isn't just Africa, there are other countries doing this nonsense such as H-1b and trade and they need to pay a price. You have Kamala Harris and her nonsense, it was getting out of pocket with other countries after President Obama.
