Trump cutting off aid to Africa might be for the best

USAID freeze is a chance for Africa to pursue self-sufficiency, without having to worry about someone else's agenda. Secondly african leaders love to outsource their problems to someone else while they pocket state funds hopefully people will start asking the right questions with no usaid to mask the cracks.

On some level I agree on some level I don't. I agree the US shouldn't be meddling in the political or economic affairs of african countries and being honest USAID is mainly a diplomatic and espionage tool of the US government. They are buying influence in these countries no doubt about it.

On the flip side Africa's resources have been raped by American companies for 100's of years. We benefit daily from African resources used in all levels of our economy. America should be investing back into Africa just like we do for Israel Ukraine etc. Nobody complains that Israel is a puppet of the US or that Ukraine is a puppet. Only black countries get that stigma.

I think there is a way African countries can take the money with no strings attached and many of the African countries do. Ethiopia is one of the top recipients of USAID and that didn't stop them from joining BRICS. As a taxpayer I am appalled that my tax dollars are intentionally being diverted away from Black people to white people. This move the move to eliminate DEI is all an attack on black people. I don't think we understand how much of the black economy does business with state and federal government.

Africa is going to need DOLLARS to make the shift to self sufficiency. If we are going to take away the US goverernment help then we as African Americans need to step up and be that connection to the American economy.

Yeah, I wasn’t too big on BRICS but since Trump showed his hands on how he wants to treat South Africa, I actually am cool with BRICS right now. White people fucked over Black people 10 ways from Sunday in South Africa, for years until apartheid ended.
