Most people don't know this, but people in the industry know that you can think of any major developer and somewhere in their business plan they own multiple, multiple, multiple Section 8 housing units....for many Section 8 is the foundational guaranteed rental income that allows them to build luxury developments.

Bruh most developers prefer selling or renting market rate housing. They aren't dependent on sedtion 8. Plus there are a lot of landlords who do not and don't want to rent to people with section 8. One reason there is a affording housing shortage is because most new developments are being built for people who do not qualify for section 8 ("luxury" homes/apartments/condos). There are set asides in some projects but again. Most make their money building or renting at market rate.
