Trump will reinterpret Civil Rights-era laws to focus on anti-racism protections — for white people, ending "affirmative discrimination"

If Donald Trump returns to the White House, close allies want to dramatically change the government's interpretation of Civil Rights-era laws to focus on "anti-white racism" rather than discrimination against people of color.
Why it matters: Trump's Justice Department would push to eliminate or upend programs in government and corporate America that are designed to counter racism that has favored whites.

Targets would range from decades-old policies aimed at giving minorities economic opportunities, to more recent programs that began in response to the pandemic and the killing of George Floyd.

  • Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung told Axios: "As President Trump has said, all staff, offices, and initiatives connected to Biden's un-American policy will be immediately terminated."
Driving the news: Longtime aides and allies preparing for a potential second Trump administration have been laying legal groundwork with a flurry of lawsuits and legal complaints — some of which have been successful.

  • A central vehicle for the effort has been America First Legal, founded by former Trump aide Stephen Miller, who has called the group conservatives' "long-awaited answer to the ACLU."
  • America First cited the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in February in a lawsuit against CBS and Paramount Global for what the group argued was discrimination against a white, straight man who was a writer for the show "Seal Team" in 2017.
In February, the group filed a civil rights complaint against the NFL over its "Rooney Rule."

  • The rule — named for Dan Rooney, late owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers — was instituted in 2003 and expanded in 2022. It requires NFL teams to interview at least two minority candidates for vacant general manager, head coach and coordinator positions.
  • American First argued that "given the limited time frame to hire executives and coaches after the season, this results in fewer opportunities for similarly situated, well-qualified candidates who are not minorities."
In 2021, Miller's group successfully sued to block the implementation of a $29 billion pandemic-era program for women- and minority-owned restaurants, saying it discriminated against white-owned businesses.

  • "This ruling is the first, but crucial, step towards ending government-sponsored racial discrimination," Miller said then.
Zoom in: Other Trump-aligned groups are preparing for a future Trump Justice Department to implement — or challenge — policies on a broader scale.

  • The Heritage Foundation's well-funded "Project 2025" envisions a second Trump administration ending what it calls "affirmative discrimination." :smh:  :smh:
  • Part of the plan, written by former Trump Justice Department official Gene Hamilton, argues that "advancing the interests of certain segments of American society ... comes at the expense of other Americans — and in nearly all cases violates longstanding federal law."
  • Hamilton is America First Legal's general counsel.
Such groups have gained momentum with the Supreme Court's turn to the right — most notably its recent rejection of affirmative action in college admissions. The court ruled that programs designed to benefit people of color and address past injustices discriminate against white and Asian Americans.

  • In 2021, a federal judge blocked a $4 billion program to help Black farmers.
  • Earlier this month, another federal judge ruled that the Commerce Department's Minority Business Development Agency was discriminating against white people and that the program had to be open to everyone.
What they're saying: The Trump campaign directed Axios to the candidate's already stated positions bashing Biden's policies promoting equity.

  • "Every institution in America is under attack from this Marxist concept of 'equity,' " Trump said in 2023. "I will get this extremism out of the White House, out of the military, out of the Justice Department, and out of our government."
  • The Trump campaign's Steven Cheung added: "President Trump is committed to weeding out discriminatory programs and racist ideology across the federal government."
  • The NFL and Miller declined to comment. CBS didn't respond to a request for comment.
Between the lines: A CBS poll last November found that 58% of Trump voters believe that people of color were advantaged over white people — just 9% of Biden voters said the same.

  • Polls also show, however, that Trump is gaining support among Black and Latino voters.
Zoom out: Trump has portrayed himself as the victim of racism amid his legal troubles.

His political career really began in 2011 as the chief Birther-agitator, questioning Barack Obama's eligibility to be president.

  • When Trump jumped into the presidential race in 2015, he accused Mexico of dumping criminals and rapists into the U.S.

Sure... but, but what about Biden supporting the crime bill? That real bad. Both sides same. That's what some of ya'll sound like. Stephen Miller is a particular kind of virus that if not stamped out completely will continue infecting us until he die. There are dozens of Stephen Millers planning on a Trump reelection to enact policies that would roll back ANYTHING that benefits someone with melanin.

US Census changes how it categorizes people by race and ethnicity

The 2030 U.S. Census will include new race and ethnicity checkboxes for Hispanic people and people of Middle Eastern and North African descent, the Office of Management and Budget announced Thursday, a major change in how the government tracks demographics.

The revisions change how the census will ask questions about race and ethnicity, combining the previously separate questions about race and ethnicity into one and including a new individual category for Middle Eastern and North African people

Demographic categories for the next census will include: American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Middle Eastern or North African, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander and White, the OMB announced.

In previous censuses, most people of Middle Eastern background were listed under the “White” category, and Hispanic people were considered an ethnicity, separate from race. People of North African descent did not have a clear individual category.

Yup Stephen Miller is an actual Neo Nazi who is one of Trumps lead political advisors and now the head of "America First Legal" attacking any and every Business/loans/ policies that are Beneficial to black people in any way. They targeted affirmative action first, but that was just the first domino....they ultimately want to eliminate the 1964 Civil rights act and OFFICIALLY go back to Jim Crow.

These CAC's...Stephen Miller and his legal teams are suing Venture capital funds who give money to black businesses/entrepreneurs, they're suing the NFL for the Rooney rule--they don't even want them to INTERVIEW potential black head coaches let alone hire them, they suing Kellogs for having an internship for black students, and on and on... they're also going after HBCU's next claiming that they are racist/discriminatory.

These CAC's are so damn weak, lame, and unoriginal that they just copy anything we do, bastardize and co-opt it for their own demonic usage.

The George Floyd Memorial Scholarship offered at North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is being accused of violating the Civil Rights Act, according to a federal complaint.
The Legal Insurrection Foundation filed the legal complaint Monday with the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights. The conservative nonprofit says its mission is devoted to advancing free expression and academic freedom on campuses.

The foundation claims the George Floyd Memorial Scholarship is violating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which "prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color and national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance."
To be eligible for the scholarship in question, the applicant must "be a student who is Black or African American, that is, a person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa," according to the university.
Students who do not meet the prerequisite racial category are automatically ineligible for the scholarship.
"Discrimination against white applicants is just as unlawful as discrimination against black or other non-white applicants," complaint writers, civil rights attorney Ameer Benno and Cornell University law professor William Jacobson, said.

What business’ today have you been to that said We Only Serve Whites?
Pick a department and you will see the same behaviors.

When you hear about the mortality rate of black mothers, what do you think?

When you hear black families are being directed to certain neighborhoods, doesn’t It strike a familial chord?

When you read that a black college educated brother has a lesser chance than a criminal minded CAC, what comes to mind?

That’s just basic everyday racism we all deal with like interacting with the police and being followed in department stores.

I’m talking about Jim Crow.

Jim Crow is when you show up at Costco and they tell you Whites Only.

Jim Crow is when you get on the local commuter bus and they tell you to sit in the back of the bus.

Jim Crow is when you go to a White restaurant, you put in your order at the front door and walk to back to the kitchen door and pick up your order next to the dumpster.

Jim Crow is when you go to public facilities and there are separate White/Black restrooms.

Jim Crow is where there are separate White/Black water drinking fountains.

That’s where this country is headed.

When Trump says “Make América Great Again”, his supporters hear “Jim Crow”.

The supporters of the former president want and need the physical Jim Crow signs.

You don’t need a physical sign today because the behavior is reinforced without the physical sign or stimuli. Costco doesn’t need a physical sign because I’m sure their membership roll shows the efficacy of not having a sign. A restaurant doesn’t need the sign because they have found a way to implement the behavior without the physical stimuli.

Racism in the Public Good sphere is harder explain.

No thanks to Indians and Asians that parrot this nonsense, feeding their delusion. Meanwhile they leech/steal off of me with all kinds of surveillance.

Why can't I get the black community to support my delusional beliefs?

There is no cash or anything of value fool. You are wasting your time with your spy gear.

I caught some Indian copying my ideas to build some product. I came on here and put them on blast as bottom feeding fraudster. They end up changing their tactics and trying to set up some other fraud scheme, I uncovered recently.

Tik tok, Bitcoin(Asian), engine technology, how you enjoying that DEI that you love to hate. Now it is non-stop surveillance and being a nuisance. This is why I'm against immigration as a black person, because these trash immigrants bring their failed culture here.

Now I don't even waste my time doing anything online, they got that on lock. I'm trying to discourage them from this continuous surveillance looking for things when I have stopped to discourage them.

What I want to do with the Latino community is claim that I am doing the farmwork through my hardwork. Than filing junk lawsuits attacking illegal immigration.

I am false taking credit for what an immigrant is doing/using illegal surveillance to spy on them, than attacking them.
