Exactly.
It won't end well for Ezra in the future.
Too many sketchy headlines over the years.
Bro? Watch that former white man do JUST fine in less than 2 years
*bookmarked.
Crazy stuff for real.
Especially related to the violent outbursts and child OR youth endangerment stuff.
funny how that sounds very ummm
Diddy -ish doesn't it?
Legal volumes etc
Completely.
When I kept seeing the headlines online ... I was expecting the next one to read "found dead".
It was one thing after another ...
there is NO WAY HBO could have ever imagined this documentary would have THIS big an impact...
This is R. Kelly Michael Jackson etc level of potential blowback
they are already ADDING episodes.
Friendly reminder for fans of Esposito .... Parish starts tomorrow ...

damn right!
Agreed.
Especially with the impact the Nickelodeon shows had on so many young people.
The network itself was never really big or readily available here in Canada, but we knew about the shows (and especially after the fact).
And of course we've seen the likes of Grande, Bynes, Bell & more go on to success.
I think some of the first warning signs were from the book Jeanette McCurdy put out some years back.
And of course seeing the mental health / substance abuse issues Bynes has dealt with for a number of years.
^^^^
yup and those SPECIFIC works is probably lead to the feasibility of this documentary.
I just don't want the ENTIRE genre of documentaries now to just be over run as vehicles to get retribution.
because again I do NOT think the pubis is smart enough to know the difference between THIS and some bot generated you tube 10 min thing.
Agreed.
What I liked about the 4 episodes of Quiet on Set thus far is that they included a number of voices. People pointing out specific instances of that was sketchy as fuck, downright wrong, or worse. A true "toxic workplace", if there ever was one.
It's just a damn shame that sexual predators were lurking in plain sight.
Agreed.

EXACTLY
And I hope this encourages to speak up NOW in REAL time
and realize while YES there is ALWAYS a danger in speaking out...
but NOW is the best time ever in history.
And they are NOT alone.
Because I think as much victim protection that is building (which is great)
There is going to be a BIG case soon that people are going to be found to be LYING.
And going to have to pay damages. LARGE SUMS.
And then the backlash will begin.
might NEVER happen
but I just don't believe EVERYONE is telling the truth.
Agreed.
Really want all true victims to use their platform(s) effectively and honestly.
Shit ... credit to Bell for speaking up (despite it being many years later now). The shame and embarassment. You could tell how tough it was years later watching his body language sitting there. Saying how difficult it also was with the detectives at his house as a teenager as he had to explain in graphic detail what had occurred, etc. Like he said in the doc' ... paraphrasing - "Think of the worst thing(s) that could happen ... that's what happened."
Damn.
sidebar...
I also want ALL the enablers parents assistants agents security etc etc etc of these predators
to ALL be held liable too.

To ME? the most telling?
is all the fellow child actors now adults making JOKES about the abuse like on that podcast
that shows me just how f*cking damaged THEY are.
Cause there was absolutely NOTHING at ALL funny about ANY of that stuff
UNLESS you hiding something or STILL dealing with something
and I mean dealing BADLY.
those were FRIENDS co workers colleagues FELLOW CHILDREN you laughing at.
I was listening to a podcast yesterday and one of the hosts said that although there are safeguards in place for NOT overworking young talent (i.e. - max hours on set) ... you really wonder looking back (and moving forward) if way more security should be in place on these types of sets. I.E. - any interactions between adults and children / teens.
Hell ... I work in the health care field and one of the first things my mom told me was to be careful of my surroundings. I.E. - with someone who may be getting progressively more agitated or violent, and also in my interactions with women. I.E. - don't put yourself in a compromising position (alone in a room, etc) wherein it could be your word versus someone else's. If you are needing to assist someone ... make sure you are visible to others. I.E. tell your coworker(s) where you are, and what you're doing. Or if you're down a hall or outside of someone's room ... make sure you are VISIBLE in / from the hallway. Not go in and door closes behind you ...
@playahaitian
As my mom would say to me back in the day - "One foot in the doorway, one foot out in the hallway. TALK LOUDLY. Make sure your co-staff know you are on the up & up. Same for any neighboring patients or clients / members. Make sure you are nice and audible ... that way you've got witnesses who see & hear you and know you're just doing your job."
The worst too is when ladies make moves on you and you're ducking and dodging as politely as possible.
Whoa, whoa, whoa ... NO! No! Sorry! No!
