Very well crafted, right?
You can see where they're going with storylines, but you enjoy going along for the ride / story.
Good writing too with that fine balance of comedic and sentimental.
I can also recommend A Man on the Inside (Netflix) for that similar balance.
I will check that one out - appreciate the recommendation.
It’s a quick watch. Episodes under 30 mins. Gonna check out the Chilean documentary it’s based on called The Mole Agent from a handful of years back.
Completed season 1 of A Man on the Inside yesterday. Very good. Only a few minor gripes with some annoying characters, but on the whole a solid one I can recommend.
It would have wrapped up nicely with just 1 season, but I'm glad it's already been renewed for a 2nd.
It's easy to get through too with the short episode run times.
All caught up with season 2 of Bookie. They're 4 episodes in so far. Just wish the episodes were longer. This last one was something like 18 minutes, lol.
Yeah that was def the shortest ep of bookie so far
Agreed. Usually they're about 20 - 24 mins, right? Even then - they're short.
I recommended the show to a coworker last week and he's already caught up.
We laughed that you can basically watch 3 eps in 1 hour. So to get caught up on 1 season is like watching a movie & change.
Yea this and Creature Commandos been my 2 weekly shows on Thursday that are both short
