I said this yesterday I’m going to say it again…. Aaron Rodgers can easily get ran out of New York before he plays another game if this get worse. Any athlete or public figure just need not to mention nothing about that list.

Funny how people think that somehow McAfee is deterred by this.

He just got a HOF QB to say some wild shi+ like this on his show.

What’s next…Shay Shay upset at Katt.

This shi+ is social media influencer gold.

Look at the views for Sharpe and McAfee off of this.

First off, I didn’t know Aaron was getting paid to do the show.

However I’m not sure how this changes things.

I’m not sure that what Aaron said was worse than the totality of what Katt said.

Kimmel came at Aaron and not McAfee or Disney.

Shannon’s video is just south of 25 milly in 3 days, I’m sure Mc’s is doin numbers also.

What am I missing?

Aaron Rodgers Insists He’s ‘Not Stupid Enough’ to Accuse Jimmy Kimmel of Being a Pedophile

The quarterback did his best to explain what he meant by his comments about Kimmel and Jeffrey Epstein on a return to The Pat McAfee Show

Aaron Rodgers insisted he was definitely not trying to link Jimmy Kimmel to Jeffrey Epstein when he seemed to link Jimmy Kimmel to Jeffrey Epstein during an interview on the The Pat McAfee Show last week.

After a week of not-so-vague lawsuit threats, apologies, and scathing late-night monologues, the quarterback returned to the scene of the original crime (McAfee’s show) to try to set the record straight. For quick background, during a previous appearance before the then-impending Epstein document dump, Rodgers said he was ready to pop “some sort of bottle” once the list dropped, adding, “a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, are really hoping that doesn’t come out.”

Most importantly, from a litigation standpoint, Rodgers was adamant that he was not trying to accuse or imply that Kimmel was a pedophile, or had an association with Epstein.

“I totally understand how serious an allegation of pedophilia would be. So him to be upset about that, I get it,” he said, adding: “I’m not stupid enough — even though you think I’m an idiot, and you’ve made a lot of comments about my intelligence — but I’m not stupid enough to accuse you of that with absolutely zero evidence, concrete evidence. That’s ridiculous.”

He continued: “So I’m glad, and I think we can agree on something, it’s that, one: those crimes are heinous; and two: I’m glad you’re not on a list because those who are on this list — and this I think we can agree on — that, at minimum, there should be an inquiry into their involvement. Especially if they went to the island. And at maximum, there should be an investigation into it.”

As for Rodgers’ attempt to explain what exactly he meant with his Kimmel/Epstein comment, the quarterback seemed to suggest he believed Kimmel wasn’t interested in seeing such corruption exposed. That interpretation ostensibly stemmed from the origins of his beef with Kimmel, which goes back to the pandemic, Rodgers’ thoughts on Covid-19 and the vaccine, and the numerous jokes Kimmel has made about all that through the past few years.

In the lead up to speaking on the Kimmel/Epstein comments, Rodgers reiterated a lot of that. He mentioned the jokes Kimmel made about unvaccinated people, Rodgers’ own supposed “immunization” to Covid, and people thinking the horse dewormer ivermectin was a legitimate way to treat Covid; he also accused Kimmel of “giving a platform to one of the biggest spreaders of misinformation during the Covid times, Dr. Fauci”; and made a series of dubious claims about the safety and efficacy of the Covid-19 vaccine.

In light of all that, Rodgers said of his remark that people like Kimmel were “really hoping” the Epstein info doesn’t come out: “I was referring to the fact that, if there’s a list — which again, this hasn’t come out yet, this is just a deposition — and there are names on it, then that would be the second time that a soft brain, junior college student, wacko, anti-vax, antisemite, purveyor, spreader of misinformation, conspiracy theorist, MAGA, whatever other things have been said by him and the media, would be right twice.”
After Rodgers’ initial comments last week, Kimmel quickly responded on Twitter, stating he’d never “met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the clearly phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality.” Kimmel appeared to threaten legal action as well, saying, “Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court.”

Pat McAfee lets Aaron Rodgers spout more garbage on today's show

The New York Jets QB ranted about COVID, conspiracy theories, and denied calling Jimmy Kimmel a pedo

After a week of controversy, New York Jets signal-caller Aaron Rodgers was welcomed back to The Pat McAfee Show with applause and a standing ovation from its host. (To be fair, McAfee is always standing, though at least he’s wearing sleeves today.)

What followed was more of the same — a wild rant about the efficacy of COVID vaccinations, calling Dr. Anthony Fauci one of the biggest purveyors of misinformation, and claiming that many of the conspiracy theories that Rodgers ascribes to have turned out to be true.

McAfee promised to “check” Rodgers on his misinformation — before asking the 40-year-old conspiracy theorist to tell him what to check him on. But every time McAfee said, “I’m gonna have to check you on that,” it was like a starting gun for Rodgers to start cramming as much BS as he could in before the host tried to cut him off.

When the ex-punter “checked” Rodgers’ claims about Dr. Fauci and COVID vaccines — no doubt because someone was telling him to into his earpiece — Rodgers went on and on about studies by what he deemed as reputable scientists (read: Those that support his viewpoint) but failed to, ya know, cite a single study. He even accused “them” — whoever they are — of trying to censor anti-vaxxer Alex Berenson, and then went on and on about anti-malaria drugs and Dr. Fauci’s financial stake in the COVID vaccines.

“Your use of efficacy today really showcased your intelligence,” McAfee told his guest, who is paid to make his weekly appearance on the program. McAfee added that Rodgers had done probably “more research than anyone else on earth” when it comes to COVID.

Hey, I use the term “string theory” all the time, I couldn’t begin to explain to you what that means for astrophysics. And while Rodgers may use a few of the buzzwords of the scientific community, he doesn’t have the educational foundation to understand what he’s reading, other than to say it sounds good and fits in with his worldview.

Rodgers invited McAfee and the audience to “fact check me!” several times, and it took me all of 30 seconds to find out that his claims were untrue. First, after the QB accused the mysterious “they” of closing California beaches and “locking everyone up” during the pandemic when he said everyone knows that Vitamin D and C are effective in treating colds.

Here’s where I point out that, despite the decades-long campaign by Big Vitamin, while Vitamin D has been shown to have some benefit during a cold to people with low levels of vitamin D, there was no demonstrable efficacy in people with normal Vitamin D levels. Vitamin C is not effective in treating colds at all.

I also fact-checked Rodgers’ claim about Dr. Fauci having a financial stake in COVID-19 vaccines, which seems like a problem for someone serving in a governmental, policy-making decision. Surprise! Turns out Rodgers didn’t quite have all the facts on that claim, either. The first thing that came up when I fired up the ole Google machine was this blurb from factcheck.org:

“Documents show that Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins received 58 royalty payments from 2010 to 2021 for their research. Only three of the payments came in 2020 or 2021; the rest were made prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. But social media posts falsely claimed all the payments were “for allowing companies to use their COVID-19 vaccines.”
...The royalties are for scientific research and other innovations by NIH institutes and centers that were licensed for use by third parties, such as pharmaceutical companies. Some of the money goes back into research, but a portion is shared with the government workers who invented the patented or licensed technology.”

The QB then blamed the media for not understanding his comments — which we all know is his go-to play — but his explanation for what he was trying to say about late-night host Jimmy Kimmel and Jeffrey Epstein was entirely unintelligible.

Rogers tried to gaslight the audience into believing his brand-new claim that he never called Jimmy Kimmel a pedophile. Instead, Ayahuasca Aaron verbally attacked ESPN PR chief Mike Foss, who characterized Rodgers’ Kimmel “joke” as being “dumb and factually incorrect.” That didn’t sit well with ol’ Aaron. He’s really sensitive about something he spews being called dumb.

In perhaps the most revealing segment, Rodgers insisted several times that he “doesn’t care” what Kimmel says about him. But then, he brought up the late-night host accusing him of having a “JuCo education” three separate times, all while insisting that he is a very intelligent person. And, no matter what McAfee’s intentions were, he once again sat there and cheered Rodgers on throughout the entire unhinged rambling, while AJ Hawk sat there silently with his customary dumb look on his face. (What would you say you do here?)

There is a lot more I could say about Rodgers’ ignorance and McAfee’s enabling, but mostly I’m just sad that this is the kind of show getting $85 million and that, as evidenced by the men screaming at me on social media, it appeals to so many people. Rodgers is an easily led, not-very-bright man who sees himself as the smartest man in every room and is desperate for everyone to see him as such.

If ESPN expected McAfee to clean up his mess this week, that mission failed spectacularly. Rodgers didn’t exactly walk back his comments on Kimmel in a way that earthlings could understand and, absent accusing an innocent person of pedophilia, Rodgers’ misinformation was arguably the worst it’s been to date.

But Rodgers is never going to come around to understanding what he did wrong, or what he says that is wrong. Because admitting he’s wrong would debunk his greatest conspiracy theory of all: That Aaron Rodgers is the last of the deep thinkers, and that anyone who criticizes him isn’t a thinking person. What Rodgers doesn’t know is that he proves that conspiracy theory wrong every time he opens his mouth.

Aaron Rodgers takes issue with ESPN’s statement regarding his Jimmy Kimmel comments

Published January 9, 2024 02:45 PM

As promised on Monday, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers addressed on Tuesday his comments from last week about Jimmy Kimmel and Jeffrey Epstein.
Said Rodgers last Tuesday: “There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, really hoping that [Jeffrey Epstein list] doesn’t come out.”
Kimmel predicted on Monday that Rodgers would not apologize for clearly implying that Kimmel’s name is on the list. Kimmel was right. Rodgers didn’t apologize.

Instead, Rodgers rambled (and he was indeed rambling, while also declaring victory) about the COVID vaccines and protocols before explaining that he meant Kimmel would be upset by the mere publication of a Jeffrey Epstein list, because Rodgers seems to think Kimmel criticized Rodgers last February for thinking a list exists.

“I was referring to the fact that, if there is a list . . . and there are names on it, then it would be the second time that a soft-brained, junior college student, wacko, anti-vax, anti-Semite, spreader of misinformation, conspiracy theorist, MAGA, whatever other things have been said by him and other people in the media would be right twice.”

While it’s unclear how smart Rodgers actually is, he’s smart enough to twist the facts just enough to fit within his claim that he didn’t say what he said. By tweaking ever so slightly the root beef with Kimmel to “Kimmel thinks I’m a wacko for saying a Jeffrey Epstein list exists” from “Kimmel thinks I’m a wacko for saying the government is using UFO sightings to distract from the Jeffrey Epstein list” (which is what happened), Rodgers dramatically altered the implications of his statement.

The only problem with this strategy comes from the fact that ESPN’s Mike Foss said last week in a formal statement issued by the company that Rodgers “made a dumb and factually inaccurate joke” about Kimmel. And so, for the second time since Friday, an ESPN executive got called out on Pat McAfee’s show.

“Mike, you’re not helping,” Rodgers said regarding the Foss statement on behalf of ESPN. “I just read earlier exactly what I said. So, and this is the game plan of the media, and this is what they do. They try and cancel — and it’s not just me. It’s nowhere near just me.”

Rodgers then tried to say he’s not painting himself as a victim. After spending 20 minutes or so showing how he has been victimized by this situation.

The ball is now back in ESPN’s court, given Rodgers’s rejection of ESPN’s effort to clean up the mess Rodgers made last week. Will there be a statement from ESPN responding to Rodgers’s comments about Foss?

Maybe, if there is, it will land on late Friday afternoon. Just like last week’s statement from Mike Foss did.

Jimmy Kimmel: Aaron Rodgers is too arrogant to know how ignorant he is

Published January 9, 2024 12:00 AM

On Monday, Aaron Rodgers had a chance to talk about his situation with Jimmy Kimmel during an end-of-season press conference with reporters. Rodgers decided to wait to address the situation until Tuesday’s scheduled appearance with Pat McAfee.
Kimmel opted not to wait.

On his ABC late-night show, Kimmel opened by addressing the situation. Here’s the full segment.

“Did you hear this story about me and Aaron Rodgers, the former quarterback for the Packers?” Kimmel said. “All right, so, what happened is he’s a Jets quarterback now. He went on a show on ESPN, The Pat McAfee Show, and out of the blue insinuated that I was nervous because the Jeffrey Epstein list was coming out. He said I was hoping it wouldn’t, and that he was going to pop a bottle of something to celebrate when he did. And then it did come out and of course my name wasn’t on it and isn’t on it and won’t ever be on — I don’t know Jeffrey Epstein, I’ve never met Jeffrey Epstein, I’m not on the list, I wasn’t on a plane or an island or anything ever and I suggested that if Aaron wanted to make false and very damaging statements like that that we should do it in court so he could share his proof with like a judge. Because, you know, when you hear a guy who won a Super Bowl and did all the State Farm commercials say something like this, a lot of people believe it. . . .
“And I know this because I hear from these people often. My wife hears from them. My kids hear from them. My poor mailman hears from these people. And now we’re hearing from lots more of them, thanks to Aaron Rodgers, who I guess believes one of two things. Either he actually believes my name was gonna be on Epstein’s list, which is insane. Or the more likely scenario is he doesn’t actually believe that, he just said it because he’s mad at me for making fun of his top knot and his lies about being vaccinated. He’s particularly upset I think because I made fun of the fact that he floated this wacko idea that the UFO sightings that were in the news in February were being reported to distract us from the Epstein list. That was Aaron’s theory that he said, and I mocked [him].”

Kimmel then showed the clip from when he poked fun at Rodgers’s claim for February.

“So he saw that and maybe to retaliate, he decided to insinuate that I am a pedophile,” Kimmel said. “This is how these nuts do it now. You don’t like Trump, you’re a pedophile. It’s their go-to move, and it shows you how much they actually care about pedophilia.

“But here’s the thing, I spent years doing sports. I’ve seen guys like him before. Aaron Rodgers has a very high opinion of himself. Because he had success on a football field, he believes himself to be an extraordinary being. He genuinely thinks that because God gave him the ability to throw a ball, he’s smarter than everybody else. The idea that his brain is just average is unfathomable to him. We learned during COVID somehow he knows more about science than scientists.

“A guy who went to community college, then got into Cal on a football scholarship, and didn’t graduate. Someone who never spent a minute studying the human body is an expert in the field of immunology. He just put on a magic helmet and that ‘G’ made him a genius. Aaron got two As on his report card. They were both in the word Aaron, OK? And can you imagine that this hamster-brained man knows what the government is up to because he’s a quarterback doing research on YouTube and listening to podcasts?

“I looked it up. This is actually a thing. It’s called the Dunning-Kruger effect. The Dunning-Kruger is a cognitive bias in which people with limited competence in a particular domain overestimate their abilities. In other words, Aaron Rodgers is too arrogant to know how ignorant he is. They let him host Jeopardy! for two weeks. Now he knows everything.

“And by the way, I’m not one of those people that thinks athletes and members of the sports media should stick to talking about sports. I think Aaron Rodgers has the right to express any opinion he wants. But saying someone is a pedophile isn’t an opinion nor is it trash talk, sorry Pat McAfee.

“And as far as the ‘well, you say things about people all the time’ argument goes, yes, I do. It’s not the same. It’s not even close to the same. We don’t make up lies. In fact, we have a team of people who work very hard to work to sift through facts and reputable sources before I make a joke, and that’s an important distinction. A joke about someone. Even when that someone is Donald Trump. Even a person who lies from the minute he wakes up until the minute he’s smearing orange makeup on his My Pillow at night, even he deserves that consideration. And we give it to him, because the truth still matters.

“And when I do get something wrong, which happens on rare occasions, you know what I do? I apologize for it. Which is what Aaron Rodgers should do. Which is what a decent person would do. But I bet he won’t. If he does, you know what I’ll do, I’ll accept his apology and move on. But he probably won’t do that.”

We’ll find out on Tuesday whether Rodgers apologizes. Like Kimmel, I bet he won’t. He’ll mince words and play the victim card and blame the “woke mob” for twisting his words and targeting him because of his conspiracy theories about anything and everything.

Rodgers, I predict, will say he never actually said Kimmel is on the list. But Rodgers clearly implied it — and then remained silent for a full week after the fuse he deliberately lit hit the bomb, creating a mess for ESPN, ABC, and McAfee.

In the end, it won’t be Aaron’s fault. Nothing is ever his fault. And he’ll surely spend plenty of time on Tuesday explaining why this one isn’t his fault, either.
