Yeah, I was discussing this film with a friend a couple of days ago, I think this film would have been classic if it not were the scene with father & daughter & their ambiguous sexual scene, did the father rape/molest her or not? That scene took me out of the film. If only the film could have been a father that did have that situation hanging over his head, it took the Black father head of the household and brought him down to a potential predator.

The daughter had a strange attraction to HIM. It was revealed at the end she came on to him, he slapped the shit out of her when she tried to kiss him. That's when the daughter lied to her little sister about being sexually abused by her father. That lie was the eventual fate of the father.
Megan Goode's character was very delusional and lied often. She never wanted to see the truth. Her lies and deceit was a major role player. Journey's character was a truth seeker. She always wanted to know the truth and was open minded to everything. Hence why she never doubted the power of voodoo. She had some real as conversations with Debbie Morgan in that film.
He is stereotypically light skinned in every movie role he plays in.

Thanks for the breakdown, I just wish that wasn't a question about the Samuel L. Jackson's character & Megan Goode's character. The film should have been focused on the journey of Journey, that Samuel L. Jackson part entered the film into the "creep factor" mode. Oh well.
