Chandler just got knocked out by Charles.... Do not fight gaitchje, Dustin, connor, or any top ten striker in the ufc. Hooker is a bum, getting a title shot off him is hilariously laughable. Great white hype exposed.
It was the fight to make after Dustin chose the money fight with Connor. Gathje just lost! Chandler got his respect off his out of UFC wins

Sucks we will never see Olivera vs Khabib

I think Justin was more deserving, Dustin was the obvious choice but like you said he took the money. I personally don't like a guy getting to come in and beat a scrub like hooker and get a shot just because he won somewhere else.

Like tony said Chandler had that Dana white privilege.

i will never say a fighter is washed up but tony needs to start over and get a whole new game plan and work on his take down defense plus work on his striking more .change camps if he have to because thats 3 fights in a row and if he losses another fight then dana might cut him...

Good points. What's crazy about it all too is that his unorthodox approach to the game and wild fights made him a fan favorite for years. That incredible winning streak. Unfortunately he never got to fight against Khabib due to all their bout cancellations. Also, he's got a solid wrestling and BJJ game. But he favored plenty of stand-up over the years and got away from his bread and butter. In turn, he accumulated so much damage. Life-changing damage. He's showing it now. Whereas someone he competed against in a great match in Dec. 2015 ... Edson Barboza ... was also on the main card last night & has had his ups and downs over the years, but still looks great and doesn't have us questioning his health and safety with each repeated Octagon appearance.

It was good to hear Tony noting in the lead-up to yesterday's fight with Dariush that he was going back to basics. Made some contacts to his wrestling peeps from the TUF days back in the day (still based in Minnesota? / Tony's out on the westcoast). Though it's probably too little, too late. Wish he would have done it sooner & absorbed much less damage over the years, despite the great career.

Nah he's done, which is a shame cuz I like Tony and the majority of fighters that come out of Hawaii , but he's washed.

It doesn't have anything to do with talent or training. IMO its psychological. Once a UFC fighter has been in one to three wars, there is an automatic decline that takes place. Its unavoidable. By war I mean that a fighter goes toe to toe, stand up with another fighter for two rounds or more exchanging blows in a fairly equal fashion. Tony is experiencing it now, Woodley has it, Cowboy is going through it too. Past champions like Lawler, Riggs, Barrao, they all hit that wall and fell off very quickly. Its fairly common if you pay attention. That is the shelf life of a UFC fighter.

You have to be an extremely tough minded individual to survive one war and a special fighter to experience two and still be able to fight at a high level, but no one survives three.
