I already cut back on my spending. It’s only a matter of time until people stop spending due to all the uncertainty and inflation.
This is where the rich are going to open their wallets and show their patriotism.

No, the rich hoards. This is the moment when we look to the economic textbooks for the definition of inflation and realize they’ve been talking about corporate greed the entire time.

Are Thomas Pikletty books banned? I would definitely not recommend reading anything by that guy.

I have thought this for a while. He really doesnt want to do the job of president. He just wants to be president and let someone else do the real work..

He picked a racist south african to do the work

His first term was supposed to go like this. I forget who it was, but one of his possible running mates supposedly got asked if they wanted to run the country. The pitch for VP was that you'd be in charge of running things. And when they asked what Trump would be doing, the answer was, "being the president". He really has no notion or inclination to run anything.

The only hitch in the setup is that Trump is so ego-driven, he can't cede power (or even the perception of it) to anyone else. So he can't help but get involved and drop his two cents into everything. The best example of this was the COVID response, which was being handled at least semi-decently by Pence at first. But once Trump heard that Pence was doing such a great job and realized that Pence was having a small spotlight with his daily COVID briefings, they had to become Trump's daily COVID briefings, which then turned them into a total shitshow.

Trump is a master class in the destructive nature of narcissism. Because he might actually appear competent if he wasn't so committed to getting in his own damn way.
