It wasn’t ALL that. Just had a major part to play in the shift at the top and yea, Kamala being a woman def played a part in that as well but there’s no covering up for this gay trans shit. Traditional men didn’t care for either.

I’m convinced if Sleepy Joe would’ve stayed on with his dark Brandon alter ego, maybe Democrats would’ve won by a slim margin but that’s putting band aid over a wound.

There’s still a Senate and House to account for.

Well, a lot of traditional men are about to get their "we hate gay people" reward from Republicans. I hope it was worth the national stop and frisk, complete immunity for police to bash their son's skulls in and the mass deportations for their abuelas.

But hey, they showed them gays lol.

And I do agree there is a lot of anti gay/trans sentiment out there. Sometimes you have to let people get what they voted for so they can realize it's not worth hurting yourself and those you love to hurt those you hate.

If you ever been in a locker room before, you know full well they weren't thinking of ANY of that shit.

Bro culture won & facts failed. I’m not saying I agree with it. I’m just saying that’s what happened.

So you got none. Like I said.
And I’ll just repeat. I do “believe” they think that as I said earlier.
But the question was what did they say not what do you believe.being that you used that video as an example
You have tap dance sir. Wrap it up
Bruh....so unless homeboy says "I believe I am white."
The statement they think they are white is wrong??????

Ironically, this screenshot shows you EXACTLY why people left. The microscope gay and trans people have had for a decade SHOULD garner this response from them, as the Democratic Party has become their home where they feel safe.

Traditionally moderate center left Democrats were swapped out for the microscope of this community and it cost them the election. Democrats might’ve gained “historic wins” here but that was a costly price tag.

Democrats voting Republican and telling you why isn’t proof positive as to what’s happening?
That's a goofy take. It's the voters who voted for these candidates. The LGBT community isn't a large enough group to elect their own candidates without the support of people outside that community. If people were fed up with the LGBT community and left the Democrats for them, these people wouldn't have been elected.

Also Democrats down ballot did pretty well in this election even in battleground states. That's part of the reason these stolen election conspiracy theories are becoming popular. There wasn't widespread abandonment of the Dems across ballot just at the top of the ticket.

Furthermore, there's no swap. It's a called a "big tent" for a reason. A single party can represent more than one group. There's no reason why the Democrats can't be the preferred party for the LGBT community and the working class considering these two groups aren't at odds.

Where is it reported that Democrats who voted Republican this election said it was because of LGBT issues? I've only heard high prices being a reason people turned to Trump. If you've have sources saying otherwise, you can post them.

Republicans ran on the same anti gay and trans shit in 2020 and 2022 and got washed both times.

The difference is there wasn't a Black woman running. Hell, people voted for Dems down ballot in the swing states and Trump at the top of the ticket. If it was all anti gay and trans, Republicans would have swept all levels of government in those states - which they did not.
Exactly.

The problem is there's just a human need to point fingers when something doesn't go the way people want. When there's a loss like this, the scapegoats are conveniently the groups ppl didn't like even before the election.

Skip to 8:20 where Jon Stewart makes the same point.

That’s the thing that keep bugging me about this election I mean, even Kentucky flip their State Supreme Court to liberal something really doesn’t make sense about all of this, especially in states like North Carolina and Kentucky and so forth

I hear what you’re saying and agree with most if not all of it. It’s all cogent and succinct …

And yet Republicans still won.

And the Senate, and looks like the House as well.

Something went wrong and I’m afraid no amount of citable source material is gonna fix that.

Get back to basics. Listen to the people.

Simplicity.

That’s where educated Democrats fell short here.

Well, there's no denying Democrats lost. What we're trying to figure out is where they went wrong.

People, regular people not just pundits, are saying prices are high and they don't want immigrants in the country.

The Dems did run on a tough on the border platform as shown by Jon Stewart and, perhaps, that's why they did better down ballot. The prices of things though are still too high for many.

And that’s fantastic. Democrats usually get most things right as I stated in my long ass diatribe up above.

But they got the culture shift, the alienation, and the messaging completely wrong. Those can be fixed but it starts with listening to the people on the ground.

Look, Democrats temporarily lost the one group of people that always rocked with them, minorities. My fear is that if they continue on the path they’re on, the next ones to go are us. Black people. And even THAT shift is starting.

Because the Dems are terrible at explaining to people all of the good they've done. It's not about who the Dems actually support. It's about who people perceive they support.

That and people are stupid. I think Mehdi Hasan hit the nail on the head about how fickle voters are.
Dems messaging sucks....nothing else to say about that
