How do you think the DNC can best prepare to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot in 2025 and beyond?

Training activists, organizers, and candidates across the country with best practices so they are ready to win in battleground states
Continuing to build on the tech and data infrastructure that will help Democrats reach and communicate with voters through digital organizing across the country
Increasing voter protection and registration efforts
Growing our financial base of support
Reinforcing our volunteer strength in urban and suburban areas
Expanding our volunteer efforts in rural areas
Supporting Democratic state parties
Maximizing our get-out-the-vote efforts for Election Day
Focusing on messaging that connects with undecided voters
Investing early in campaigns in historically red states
Engaging with young and new voters to share resources ahead of Election Day
Showing voters that Democrats care by volunteering in the community

I received this survey from the DNC @Camille @woodchuck @easy_b @DC_Dude @4 Dimensional

Which of President Trump’s priorities do you find most troubling?

Enacting mass deportations
Slashing taxes for the ultra-wealthy
Gutting abortion access
Rolling back clean energy solutions and crucial environmental regulations
Severely restricting voting access
Attacking the fundamental rights of LGBTQ+ Americans
Dismantling key federal agencies, like the Department of Education
Defining the U.S. Supreme Court for decades by appointing even more ultraconservative justices
I am not troubled by the policies President Trump is advocating
I know you didn't @ me but I'm going with Dismantling key federal agencies. all of these are important, but this will have a trickle down effect and will be felt immediately after the mass deportations. I'm including Obamacare in with the Federal Agencies. Luckily we have two years to get the dems to get the Majority into Congress so it will be necessary for Trump to act quickly to get his agenda implemented.

Knowing that the Democratic Party will be the minority party in Congress, which goals do you believe should be our highest priorities?

Protecting reproductive rights
Protecting LGBTQ+ rights
Protecting Social Security and Medicare
Protecting affordable health care
Protecting federal agencies

Blocking appointments of right-wing judges
Blocking tax cuts that will help the wealthy get wealthier at the expense of working families

The three that I bolded are all the most important. If they can't be blocked, at least slow them down. Hakeem Jeffries or anyone in his camp that may be reading this, you have a chance to insert yourself into being on a shortlist of potential presidential candidates in 2028 and being more of a vocal leader and blazing your own path and not being in the shadow of Nancy Pelosi. I know that there are moderate republicans that represent districts that will fill the pain and will not want to be in lockstep with that stooge Johnson.

What electoral issues and messages do you believe should be the highest priorities for Democrats running for office during a Trump administration?

Protecting abortion access
Passing legislation to end the gun violence epidemic
Building an economy that works for everyone, not just the ultra-wealthy and big corporations
Reducing the cost of prescription drugs
Achieving universal, affordable, quality health care
Combating climate change and building a clean energy economy
Providing tax cuts for the middle class and ensuring the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share
Creating good-paying jobs

Providing a world-class education to children in every ZIP code
Investing in America’s infrastructure (highways, bridges, and more)Increasing the federal minimum wage
Passing a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United
Making debt-free college a reality
Strengthening legal pathways to citizenship and investing in smarter, more effective border security
Supporting participation and equality for people with disabilities
Standing up for LGBTQ+ youth and their families
Preserving and protecting democratic institutions against extremism
Getting the Economy together straight, but before we do that, come up with a different media strategy. VP harris started doing this but she started too late. Buttigieg has the right idea handing Fox News their ass every time he's on, but they need to go on Rogan and other podcasts. Get Hakeem and other Dems out there. Get Jasmine Crockett out there in those spaces. I don't know if AOC has any burn here because she has pretty bad rep, but run some focus groups and bring some new names to the front of the line. get all of these democratic governors (Wes Moore from Maryland, Andy Breshear from KY, and Josh Stein from NC among others and get them introduced to America) so in a few years people wont be saying "we don't know them." Start Grooming Gavin Newsome now and put him places that don't label him as "California Liberal". Don't use the same media strategy that you've been using. CNN and MSNBC are dead, need to get these people on with New Media. The message will be to spoonfeed these voters that you lost. Get out charts like Ross Perot did when he was running. Step up your social media presence (especially on tik tok). I can write a book about what I would do to get the Dems back on track.

What is your top priority going forward?

Winning back the White House in 2028
Winning back control of the House and Senate in 2026Fighting back against Donald Trump’s harmful agenda
Persuading voters who did not vote for Democrats in 2022 and 2024
Flipping the Virginia governorship and holding the New Jersey governor’s seat in November
Making investments in key states Democrats lost by fewer than 2 points in 2022 and 2024
Giving more support to state parties in deep red states to help Democrats at the grassroots level
Improving voter turnout by engaging new voters and Americans who didn’t vote in 2022 or 2024
Engaging with those who voted for the first time in the 2024 elections
Supporting state parties to help Democrats win local, county, and state legislative races
Investing in tech and data infrastructure to support Democratic candidates
Expanding voter education, protection, and registration efforts

One thing missing here is starting to reconnect with Men voters. This has to be a top priority for Dems because as we see, the tide is turning and the country appears to be further to the right. For now, top priority needs to be winning back control of the house and senate in 2026, but long term, dems have to start going into these rural communities in places like Ohio, Florida, and Texas. like I said in the previous post, spoonfeed the facts to these voters. With Trump and his minions looking at inflation going up again with tariffs, make the case for why you are the better choice.

Democratic party has to have a clear message on being the alternative and there needs to be better research on candidates and districts on the ground in all states and not just battleground states. This also goes back to growing the financial base of support.

The Democrats have a clear message it just other people is muddying up the water, right media and Russia. You don’t get no clearer than Trump is going to take away this and Trump is going to do this that is clear as day. Half of this country is an idiocy mind set. I’m going to keep it real. I love Obama, but the only reason why he got elected is this country was about to go bankrupt. We have to go through that same thing again for this country to do the right thing with choosing a president.

Bruh voters are fucking retarded, bottom line. Do y'all realize how fucked up of a person Trump is, and they still chose him? None of the shit they are claiming now as the reason they chose Trump compares to the reason why they shouldn't have.

It's like you have a choice between a pedo and a shoplifter for babysitters and you choose the pedo. Then you claim, oh I chose the pedo cause the shoplifter stole from my dad's store. The reasons they are coming up for the Trump win is nonsense.

Leftists are concentrating on Cheney, but Trump and Republicans didn't run against Cheney. They ran against leftists.

You know what hurt the most across the country even in NY and California? Leftist policies of not charging any theft under 1k leading to videos of people running into stores and walking out with shit.

No cash bail and letting people picked up right back get right back out.

Giving migrants money and shelter.

Paying for trans surgeries for inmates.

You can agree or disagree with any or some of these policies, but it's clear that people didn't feel safe and thought prices were too high. And they weren't in the mood to be generous to migrants.

But you won't see people like Costanza admit any of that. He'll use the chart he didn't even read to say that Dems should go further left.

Democratic Shill on display. The Corporate Democrat hates the Democratiic voter that resides in the city so much that they continue to run candidates that the voters are indifferent to. They haven’t reversed their disastrous course because they want to depress the inner city democratic voter. Why is Cherrelle Parker, the mayor of Philadelphia, trying to crash out over the Sixers? Does she really think that she’s going to be reelected with 2300 votes?

Local policies that the voters did not push back on but instead choose to show their disapproval by choosing a president who will enact ev e n worst polices for the entire country?

The transgender surgeries was grossly over exaggerated by the republicans. But the democrats did not go hard to debunk it.

I agree prices are too high but this is the fault of the people. They still by that shit. I've stopped buying alot of shit because of the inflated prices. I refuse to by candy or gum, orange juice I stopped buying years ago, etc. Shoppers are a huge reason shit is so high and staying high. The democrats and local politicians have acknowledged and said they plan to go after price gouging. What was the republicans' plan to address it?

The migrant issue was caused by Abbott. The democrats should have hammered that. People are upset that sanctuary states exist. I agree with them to a point.

NYC had very progressive candidates running in the last mayoral election, and the inner city democratic voter chose the candidate that said he would be tough on crime even though he was a corrupt idiot.

Progressive shills like you always blame the "corporate democrat" when all Bernie or AOC or any of your progressive darlings have to do is win nominations.

"
But Trump — who easily won the national race — made significant gains within the heavily Democratic city’s bluest boroughs, narrowing his margin of defeat by more than 20 percentage points in the Bronx and Queens compared to four years ago.

Across the city, Harris defeated Trump 68%-30% — a margin that was 16 points less than President Joe Biden’s victory over Trump four years ago. The shift has Democratic leaders sounding the alarm in a city that has six times as many registered Democrats as Republicans.

“Democrats are going to have to find a way to get the narrative back on a lot of these hot-button issues,” said Basil Smikle, a Columbia University professor who was once the state Democratic Party's executive director. “And they're going to have to figure out a way to create a new coalition that is more durable than the one they've been relying on for almost 30 years.”

The entire NYC metro area shifted to the right

Every single county within the New York City metropolitan area moved toward Trump when compared to four years ago, according to the most recent vote counts."

So, the data says that the "inner city voter" moved to the right, not to the left. But then, since you're the self titled smartest person in the galaxy, you should know that.

Some men see certain issues as women's issues, like abortion access. They still think abortions are strictly used by loose women to avoid the consequences of being a whore. I've seen that sentiment expressed here.

They don't seem to realize it could be their wife, daughter or daughter in law who bleeds out and dies as a result of a miscarriage. That they could be a single father suddenly having to work to provide and caregive or find a caregiver while navigating their own and their children's grief. Or that their family line could be ended at the first pregnancy as a result of their wife not being able to conceive again. (Assuming they don't leave their wife for another woman or cheat after she can no longer get pregnant. Women are interchangeable to some, after all.)

The ACA being required to cover birth control had bought abortions down to the lowest level since the 1970s. The GOP was and religious organizations were against it. They were more concerned about controlling women than ending abortion and they will try to end contraceptives next

Religious groups said BC thwarted God's will for a woman to conceive and led to sexual sin. There seems to be no thought of sexual sin in providing viagra to single men who don't have a wife to ease their erection. Or seeking a wife's permission when married, like women had to do from husbands if they wanted their tubes tied, as though having a horny toad walking around with a 4 hour erection doesn't affect her. Or of thwarting God's will. Maybe that limp dick is God's way of saying this particular man shouldn't be fruitful or multiply.

You'd think, since there are so many white genocide folk, that ending a miscarriage ASAP so a woman can continue to breed would be a top priority, but they aren't thinking that far ahead I guess.

Republicans made gains in NY the last couple of house races. People aren't pushing back on policies so much, but they pushed back on results. Their votes didn't make sense, but they made them.

Separately, San Francisco's progressive mayor, London Breed, was defeated by Daniel Lurie, a more moderate Democratic-affiliated candidate who promised "clean and safe streets for all" and to tackle "our drug and behavioral health crisis." Lurie, heir to the Levi Strauss clothing empire, won 56 percent of the vote against 44 percent for the incumbent.

Breed was blamed by critics for worsening San Francisco's ongoing problems with crime and homelessness, though her office claimed the city's homeless population has fallen by about 3.5 percent over the past three years.

California voters also backed Proposition 36, which significantly increased penalties for certain theft and drug offences, partly undoing a 2014 law that downgraded certain non-violent felonies to misdemeanors. Supporters said the move would held cut the state's prison population, but critics blamed it for a surge in homelessness and theft.

If these shifts are happening in California and New York, that's a blinking alarm for Dems.

This story doesn't include the percentage of Registered people not voting which would significantly changed the perspective of the article.
The question to be answered is, did these people not vote because they thought NYC policies were too far left or not far enough left.

I suspect that a lot of people were dissatisfied with the direction of the city and didn't want to vote for the people in office, but also didn't want to vote for a Republican. So they stayed home.

But Dems will really be committing political malpractice if they just dismiss this much of a rightward shift in the voting margins. Regardless, lots of voters did not want to vote for them, and Dems need to understand why.

It makes sense. People aren’t satisfied with this system and why should they be?

The New York Times candidate won. That was the point. A total buffoon won because the powers that be elevated him and then sold him out.

Shit, we the voters that vote religiously are the dumb ones. We still haven’t figured it out yet. Shorty’s brother in law works for uber with his fingerprints on bullshit done not too long ago. And she’s the labor candidate?

I like your petty and shade thrown to Gaetz. Cheers to you!

Oh yeah and btw, they hate science. Nose face spite and all that jazz...:hmm::smh:
