You have to protect everyone that needs protection. This isn’t a moment to drink water and mind your business. You don’t retire or resign to apathy.

Kids gonna be drinking lead water and liberals will be like “This is the America Trump voters wanted, I can’t be bothered.”

Imagine if Harriet Tubman was that weak.

If liberals had half the resolve of Harriet Tubman, we wouldn't be in this situation to begin with. You shouldn't expect them to change at this point.

Their primary path of reducing government spending is replacing the employees with software.

The software that replaces the secretaries will end up being more expensive when they have to hire more IT folks to keep it running.

That's in addition to the fact that software and AI won't replace technical subject matter experts.

Nah, AI will be much cheaper than a floor of secretaries. Cyber security and maintenance costs will be much cheaper than salaries, health plans, pensions, disability claims, errors, sub optimal performance, human resource issues, customer service issues, etc etc etc.

AI will be way past replacing subject matter experts. Might be currently. AI will replace almost all jobs, including artistic ones. I highly advise you to really check out AI. I'm curious, what is your age?

I don’t. Empathy is at zero right now.

That message has emerged from former President Donald Trump’s wealthiest backer, Elon Musk, who says that the GOP nominee’s plans to put the U.S. on firmer fiscal footing would likely entail “temporary hardship” for ordinary Americans.

“We have to reduce spending to live within our means,” Musk said. “And, you know, that necessarily involves some temporary hardship, but it will ensure long-term prosperity.”

says the person worth 400 billion...whose never been poor in his life. The american people voted for this.

I have not been this excited about a Presidency since Obama. Trump is coming in office at the perfect time. AI is the next great invention and with all of his faults, Trump is going to make it as easy as possible for the US to compete in this next wave of technology. These next 4 years are going to be huge.

The American people voted for Coke but the only other option was Pepsi. You can only put so much blame on the people in a two party system.

When Trump got elected in 2016, I thought it made sense when people said that even if his supporters weren't racist, they all decided that racism wasn't a dealbreaker.

But in 2024, some Biden critics flipped that on his supporters, saying that they may not be genocidal but they all decided genocide wasn't a dealbreaker.

I thought the Trump racism was terrible, I thought the Biden genocide was terrible. But in a two-party system, no voter can participate in the system and not accept something terrible as a non-dealbreaker. A two-party system necessitates differentiation between greater and lesser evils but an endorsement of some evil nonetheless.

I'm well versed in AI. That's how I know that although it will become a useful tool, saying that it will replace almost all jobs is nonsense.

AI doesn't "think", it guesses. When you train a model you have to give it millions or even billions of examples for it to start to produce accurate results.

If you present it with something that is a big departure from what it was trained on it will hallucinate.

Those hallucinations might be acceptable for creating images or writing fiction, but there are plenty of scenarios where that's going to be unsatisfactory.

who do you credit for the hostages release?

I don’t credit anyone. If the ceasefire doesn’t last, that’s insignificant compared to the tens of thousands who have been killed.
well what I'm talking about is the genocide issue. You say people made a choice between trump and harris based on their reaction to whats happening in palistine. And you particularly take issue with how biden handled it. But it seems like people are either glossing over the fact that no matter who the president is..israel is still the ally so NO ONE in that position is going to come out and reprimand their ally or cut off any aid no matter how bad shit has gotten.

Trump moved the US embassy to jerusalem and recognized Jerusalem as the true capital of Israel. Something NO president had done up to this point. There is no doubt in my mind or for anyone following this conflict that if there wasnt a peace deal and hostages returned..trump would have ramped up that genocide without hesitation. Fuck those palestinian women and children.

you say I thought the Biden genocide was terrible when would have EASILY been the trump genocide. And you best believe trump WILL take credit for the peace deal pretty much saying hamas and hezbollah damn sure didnt want to deal with him.

and then musk did this

Looks like Elon will be the Tony Hinchcliffe of this rally.
It's trending all over X.
It's not a bad distraction for all the Executive Orders Trump is signing.
