DISTURBING VIDEO
Sullivan’s Island Police say they are investigating a social media video that shows “possible criminal actions” by a person who reported an unlicensed driver.
The video shows a man police say called 911 confronting the driver of a pickup truck on Ion Avenue where police responded. Sullivan’s Island Deputy Police Chief Monty Anders said they learned of the video after the fact, adding there is “an active criminal investigation into the actions of the caller.”
In the video, the 911 caller asks the driver multiple times if he is from Mexico and then says, “You are going back to Mexico.”
“No, no, no, no. You cannot drive. You have no driver’s license. You have no license. You are going back. We have the cops coming, Bo,” he says.
