I am by no means saying relax or come up off of the gas, but I do feel like these polls are not reflecting the real level of support for either candidate. Trump has his base, and that's always going to be there, but I think a lot of people are showing loyalty versus enthusiasm, and they will likely stay home or maybe even vote blue.
That said, Team Harris is rightfully pushing forward, because even if a win was a near certainty at this point (it's not), you still want as big and as sweeping a win as possible. There needs to be a clear message sent to the MAGA crowd and probably some Dems too that the paradigm is shifting. Otherwise, we won't be able to push forward with any real change once we've (metaphorically) buried Trump.

- It logically follows that if a SPECIFIC group of people was victimized by slavery and Jim Crow and other policies then that SPECIFIC group of people should be targeted for redress. This isn't a difficult concept to understand.
- She's advocating for some kind of broad-based upliftment plan like the LIFT ACT that will hypothetically uplift Black Americans as part of the process, but such programs are too limited in scope or have other correlates (like the lack of affordable homes) that fail to address the core problem because they're not targeted to the specific group in the first place.
