I didn’t vote for either in the general election and disagree with their policies but I voted no on both recalls. Here is why:

1.) Mayor Thao’s recall is based on spite. If she is recalled, she will still be mayor for a few months while the vote is certified, then Nikki Bas will be mayor(who is worse than Thao IMO, then we have to pay for a whole new election. The city is already cash strapped and will likely have to close Firehouses and lay off Cops. It doesn’t really make sense.

2.) Pamela Price is doing exactly what she said she was going to do during her campaign. She has prosecuted cops and corrections cops, and been giving alternatives to jail time to criminals. This is what the people wanted and voted her in for. CACs turned on Price when she gave light punishment to the Brother for accidental killing that Asian kid. Prior to that, there was no outcry against Price. I disagree with her light sentencing and voted for her opponent in the general election, but she won her campaign and has been doing what she was voted in to do.

If this is true and Latinos are now becoming the "dominant" minority in America, it would behoove the Democratic Party not to run a woman at the top of the ticket again. You now know where the lines are drawn and this is twice now (especially after the crap Trump pulled during Covid) that we have seen people for what they are. Whether Harris wins or not, this has changed my view of our "allies". Some good people may get swept up in this, but Fuck 'em. A lesson has been learned by me today.
