I apologize for the "bitch" comment but man that's one thing you don't tell a ninja from the South...that they're scared of whitey. It's one thing to deal with the shit but to have a brother tell you that you and your people are scared of anything...especially a CAC...you really touched a nerve. Back to being the Southern Gentleman that I normally am.

Yeah man. These young kids are something else. I hope they don't change. It's real beautiful how they all interact with each other out here now. I go to the mall and it's asians, white folk, black folk, latino's all chillin together like it's nothing. I'm jealous because the young ninja's pussy options are outstanding now lol.

As far as the complaining about the social scene. Let me be the first to say that we complain about the shit just as much as the out of towner's. The thing that I love about VA though is that I can be in NY or ATL in 8 hours depending on which way I wanna go and all points in between. Location, Location, Location.

Traffic in Northern Virginia is worse. Va is ultra conservative. Being an old state steep in history it is hard to bring change. I agree with the statement that when you get above Fredericksburg that you are considered from DC. People in Maryland have the same attitude.

Washington DC is a great place to be from. FAR AWAY FROM!!!!!

Virginia is dynamic and diverse, for real. I was born and raised in DC/ MD but I always consider my roots to be Virginian. My mother and father's families are from Charlotte and Halifax Counties respectively. I used to go down from DC to hang out there every summer.

It's funny when you talk to some people from Alabama, Mississippi, or whatever about The South. They talk that "VA ain't really The South..." mess quickly. All the while I'm like SHEEEEIIIITTT!!! Obviously there is a lot of VA you haven't seen, LOL!

I love Virginia, and miss going there and kicking back since moving out West many years ago. Like so many of my other family members? I guess I might retire there. Damned sure plan on being buried there.

Loving this thread!!!

Damn near my whole family lives in Stuart Gardens! Used to play ball at Anderson Park! Used to have a house right on Chesapeake Ave!

We probably know each other. I pretty much LIVED at Anderson Park from '86-'94. Played football for Doris Miller, baseball for the Yankees (Anderson Park). Went to Magruder, South Morrison, Hines, then Menchville... Damn, you had a crib on Chesapeake? That's still a dream of mine. I love those houses man. My moms used to make me go walking with her up and down that LONG ass street for exercise. I hated it then, but I miss it now.

Small world my Stuart Gardens Alumni.

The Daily Press could have used the info in this thread for Black History month.

Damn dude. VA athletes stay getting arrested. :smh:

I lived in Hampton for a few years and alot of the kats in VA are proud of that ghetto shit. Kats like Marcus Vick, Allen Iverson and DeAngelo Hall, are all over the place. You can't convince them to drop the "nigga syndrome" attitude for nothing. :smh:
