What if insurance was required to own a gun?

Here is some non antecdotal evidence for you. Your chance of getting burglarized not (includes home invasions) is .01%. Your chance of being burglarized at night is .0005% in your entire LIFETIME. So stop. And not only that the likelihood has decreased over the years while gun violence has increased. So let's figure this out. You are fine with gun laws that cause us to have mass shootings so you can protect yourself from a non-existent threat. Make it make sense.

You rather having it not needing it means all the deviants also have it. It also means school shootings, mass murders and random gun violence at public events.

People like me is a human beings that doesn't like gun violence. I want a society where you aren't scared of getting home invaded. I've been to Japan Australia without a gun and felt safe.

I guarantee I have owned more guns in my lifetime than you. I was literally in the business of it for several years.

If your love of human beings outpaced your fear of the boogieman you would be fine with giving up your guns for a safer society. But you would rather live in fear than have a little heart. And just like they said slavery wouldn't end or women wouldn't get the right to vote or gays wouldn't have the right to marriage everything changes bruh and if you old scared negros die off and the kids of the future decide they done with your wild wild west shit show than yes we can get rid of guns just like several other industrialized nations already have. If it can't be done then how did Australia do it?

There is no solution other than decreasing the amount of guns in America. Period. The reason we don't have a high incidence of grenade violence is because grenades are illegal. It's a simple equation less guns = less gun violence.
Didn't really answer my questions lmao
Australia has less people than California, and as I'm sure you know they never had a constitutional right to beat arms. Both countries are almost completely homogeneous ethnically and don't face the challenges of then population we do, So no point in mentioning those countries in comparison.
So again, how would you go about banning guns on the USA? And if find it highly idiotic to compare slavery, refusing woman's rights to vote, and other civil rights to gun ownership. Lmao Jesus Christ. Lmao

Also I'm younger than you so watch the old shit old man :giggle:

100%.

I’m a USMC vet. I’ve always believed, you wanna stop gun violence? Then remove all guns from the country. Until that day happens, talking about anything else is just a waste of time. Mass shootings will keep happening until day comes. That’s just reality!! Criminals will do what they do, the rest of the country shit living like this just because of that criminals might do

LOL the constitution. That document that justified my ancestors slavery. lol OK It's been changed on many occasions. Remember the original didn't let women or black people vote. It's not that hard. The will of the people is greater than a piece of paper. And like I said I did a whole research paper on the 2nd amendment at a time when I was pro gun ownership and even then the justification for the laws we have today was flimsy.

Don't like Australia how about China they have more people and 1/20th of the gun deaths. Maybe 2,000 people a year while we are at 40,000.
How about Korea, or Singapore, Japan. I can keep going. We are the outlier. We are on par with Narco states. It's us and south america. India has twice as many people and is savage as hell and they have half as many as us.

Remove the guns from the hands of civilians. How could you do that?
Stop importing guns into America for civilian use. Stop manufacturing guns in America. Stop selling new guns to civilians and start buy back programs for the current guns. Get rid of conceal carry and open carry. Stop making guns socially acceptable to be in public and eventually move to an all out ban.

I can understand your feeling that you need a gun to protect yourself. But that feeling is only because this society is full of guns. If it wasn't full of guns and you weren't worried about the boogieman then you would have a much safer society here in america. We are the fucking suburbs when it comes to the world. We do not need to have all this weaponry. We kill ourselves for nothing.

over my time of living on this planet and seeing the gun violence in America get more and more random and savage. I do not believe the average citizen should have a gun. Like 99% of people should be no where near a firearm.

To change the Constitution takes 38 states agreeing if I'm not mistaken, in what world is that happening? Lol

I agree with you on a lot of points the difference is I'm a realist. This country isn't banning the second amendment, not in our lifetime or the next. So what do we do to actually address the problem? If there was a vote to ban and take every gun from every citizen and a plan on how that would be possible without mass Bloodshed I would vote for it tomorrow. Unfortunately that's not happening. So again why do people keep obsessing over the guns instead of solutions, At one point in our childhoods there where still tons of guns, yet there weren't mass shootings every other week. What has changed and what can we do to fix that?

Also you keep mentioning countries that are nothing like ours, India is a rape haven shit palace who no one wants to even visit let alone live there, China is a hellhole, Japan is a homogeneous population with weird culture and horrible work life balance, these countries aren't in the same unique situation as the USA. It doesn't make sense to think their solutions would work for us.

BINGO!!!

The criminals don't give a fuck about insurance.

One big solution is charging parents when school shootings go down. If they have shown lax supervision of their kid and knew the kid was a threat, etc..etc, lock 'em up!!!

Not sure about adult gun violence. I don't see any solution for this at all!! Just hopefully there is a good guy or girl with a gun when the shit hits the fan!!

What about proposed "red flag" laws for people would mental issues and family members with mental issues in the home?

There is no solution other than reducing guns. And banning guns would not take revoking the second amendment.

Also I disagree that there's no other solution, people are being brainwashed by social media and turned into extremist, the economy sucks, the outlook for the future sucks, healthcare and school is expensive as fuck. People are desperate, afraid, depressed and aren't getting the help they need. I think addressing those issues is more impactful then banning a gun. When people want to do damage and kill they'll figure out a way. The key is making life in this country better for the regular guy instead of the billionaires who own everything and give nothing.

No you just don't want to accept that banning guns reduces gun violence. Every other country has figured that out. So Britain is not like America? LOL It doesn't bother you that India and China have 5 times as many people and 1/5 and 1/10 the gun deaths that we have. America has 4% of the worlds population but we have 15% of the gun deaths.

The biggest hurdle we have is the cultural impediment. So many people like you don't want to give up their guns so they will accept this violent society so they don't have to. There is no half measure that will do anything to stop the next school shooting. American citizens have proven we are irresponsible with the right to bare arms and until we accept that and do something significant it's going to be the same rinse and repeat of tragedies. People don't even blink when there are school shootings anymore. We are the frogs getting boiled alive slowly talking about we need the hot water scared it might get cold.

Facts. Plus most responsible gun owners already have insurance cuz if they ever have to use their firearm, they need protection against the impending court fees/cases

Why is it so hard for these people to understand a lot of these proposals only affect law abiding citizens. Criminals by definition could care less about them otherwise they wouldn't be doing any of the things they do.

What's your thoughts about the gun laws in Maryland? I know when I took my CCL for DC, the class had alot of folks that lived in Maryland. The processs is the same except for a few exceptions...

In DC and Maryland, you have to take a firearms training class. Maryland also requires you to do a finger print back ground check as well....I know my gun instructor mentioned Maryland does have some strict laws, but the laws do seem to be somewhat reasonable. I am not an expert, but just my random thoughts....lol

Alright man I'm done going in circles with you, as always the take your gun crowd has no reasonable plan, no realistic solutions and live in a fairytale rainbow unicorn fuck land.

If your plan is to ban all guns in America, you will fail.

If your plan is to take semi auto rifles, you will fail to stop school shootings.

Carry on

I'm not familiar with Maryland's laws outside of the 10rd mag limits and that my NC conceal carry license isn't honored there. In NC, no firearms training class is required but fingerprints + background check are normal to get your conceal carry license. Maryland is no where near as strict as NY, NJ or CA though
