Low Winter Sun is a two-part miniseries first aired on Channel 4 in Great Britain, in 2006. The series, written by Simon Donald, stars Mark Strong as Detective Sergeant Frank Agnew, a police officer who murders a fellow officer and believes he has committed the perfect crime. The miniseries was adapted into an eponymous 10-episode series by AMC, with Strong reprising his role as Detective Agnew.[1][2][3]

Agreed. I think I might look for that original 2006 series at some point too.


Good idea re: comic or movie group chat. I am not well-versed with comics, but it's been fun having the movie review/discussion thread in the main board. We're at 144 pages and counting dating back to 2007. Shoutout to everyone that's been contributing reviews & recommendations ...

Recent ones I've seen = 1917, 7500, The Outpost, and The Way Back.

A good watch IMO, the ending is open ended. It kept me entertained and laughing if you like watching people get smoked in horror films (Like I do). :giggle: :thumbsup: :roflmao3:

I forgot to add this show during my original post. Dexter, Seasons 1-4 to be more specific. Although I like the show overall. I personally think the first 4 seasons were the best.

I've been re-watching The Shield, and it is still incredible!!! Season 4 (Glenn Close and Anthony Anderson), and Season 5 (Forest Whitaker), from start to finish, are about as good as television can possibly get. I would also include Seasons 4 & 5 of "24"; Seasons 3 and 4 of The Wire; and Season 2 of Sons of Anarchy on my all-time greats list.

Should be interesting to see how this all plays out. He has admitted over the years being a pussyhound in his younger years. Wife filing for divorce earlier this year (possibly while information was being gathered for the recent LA Times story), and the fall from grace with one of his best friends, Chris D'Elia, being in the news in recent months too. He's been out of town lately and missed a few of their podcast episodes. They usually release them on Monday/Wednesday, and have been doing some Friday shows in recent months.
