Public school , Indianapolis.
However, in IPS, I was able to attend a Montessori elementary school. (I was "bussed", so I didn't go to my neighborhood school). It was drastically different than regular public schools. In the summer I would go to my neighborhood elementary school and experience the bullshit that was being done to my friends. I was several reading and math levels ahead of my peers.
I then went to Jr. High and Sr High School with Magnet Programs. I took Arabic for 4 years, and vocational electronics. All AP courses through high school. As prepared as I thought I was, I realized that my public school education still wasn't shit compared to some of the rest of the countries better school systems. I struggled in college. I had no computer experience, and that was a huge setback.
Attended Purdue University for 2 years, didn't graduate though. This was 1994....

Same here. My HS wasn’t technically one of the “Big Three” (Bronx Science, Brooklyn Tech, and Stuyvesant”, but it was specialized for a lot of our extra curriculars and D-1 scholarship achievement rate.
it’s likely the same everywhere: the ones who see school for what it is and can persevere, do well.
Salute you, King.

Cleveland public school system.

A and B student all the way until about 10th grade and started getting high and cutting school and getting into trouble. I dropped out of school in 11th grade. Got my GED a year later after my mom encouraged me to do so, with test scores well above average.

I regret dropping out but I've made >$100K per year since about 2015 and I've made some good choices in life after dropping out and I can't complain about how things turned out.

Yeah, I always considered UMD a top notch school. Was going to try and get on their weather program, but after UGA denied me, I didn’t even try.

My current employer is based out of Rockville, but does some contract work at college park for the National Center of Environmental Prediction at College Park. I have a few colleagues there now. They won’t me to move out there, but I can’t justify the cost of living change.
From NC to MD.. yea that’s a huge leap in terms of cost of living. I know alotta people from here who are moving/moved down there and are loving life. Unless there were a significant bump in pay, I’d stay out down there lol

It ain't what they are teaching but what you're willing to learn! Example: I had coaches who taught history that continously warned of the GOP we have today rising to power! History has a way of repeating itself!
