What unpopular opinions do you have? Hip-Hop/Rap edition

It's cool he's finally acknowledged doing him wrong but I wonder about him giving Max his publishing.

From what I recall Max wrote multiple songs (and maybe wrote We Fly High) which he said he wasn't given credit for so if that's the case and not resolved he hasn't done right by Max yet.

Always.

Good for Irv knowing his worth and not taking Lyors bullshit.

But if they gave up 3 million so easy I wonder what he really could have gotten.

We fly high was a stack bundles demo

He gave it to Jim along with other songs

So this stuff REALLY happens?

@dik cashmere @woodchuck @ViCiouS

Yes, it does. BTW, they didn't write "Survivor". A friend of mine did, but she had a young son and was close to being evicted, so she took the 100k and NO writing credit.

Sure does

Also funny that ester was bragging about it this morning until the comments started getting crazy

Then came the apology

It makes total sense why you never took accountability 16 years ago. Your career was beginning to skyrocket with the success of Rude Boy and all those other Rihanna songs you wrote.. to admit to pitting two black female artists against each other would’ve been career suicide.

For context, and to understand why the distribution of accountability is important, both Polow and Ester Dean have worked with Beyonce in production and writing capacities since Keri's song dropped in 2009. Ester co-wrote countdown in 2011, and Polow co-produced "I Been On" in 2013. It's obvious she's been the public face of the diss and had to deal with the public fallout of that decision while the writing and production teams remained protected, behind the scenes, and continued to benefit. The music industry is filled with desperation and young artists being forced to take risks they're uncomfortable with in order to try and make a splash that unseats a bigger name (like Beyonce), in the hopes that it advances their career. It sucks to get caught up in that, but there's peace in owning up to your part in it because we can't be the victims when it goes wrong, knowing we would've enjoyed all the spoils if it went right.

YOOOOOO!!!!I was so confused.

I'm happy Ester finally admitted but damn a decade and a half of silence? Just stfu

Internet clout chashing at 50 plus? Where theyvdo that at?

Tio Chuck need to fix up the spare room at the villa... cause I'm taking Miss Hildon home.

Imagine she kept her mouth shut the whole time. Never ratted. Stand up and solid. That pum pum must taste like rum punch.

Most dudes would have squealed immediately if not sooner. Ester f**ked up. I would have died with that secret.

So they can THREATEN you to a song or verse?

They BOTH worked Beyonce and really thought it would never be revealed?
