Spike has made many great films that were hated on by funky racist honkies and useless black coons due to his black empowerment messages. No other black movie makers did or since has attempted to go down the roads he did. Spike's movies have always made us black folks think and reevaluate learned behavior. The simple fact that he was able to mauver through Honkeywood and drop gems on us, is commendable.

Anyways I always give Spike his flowers because he was apart and helped spread and move our culture from the movies he did,to the commercials and just himself,the media checking out what he's wearing because it is a reflection of what's going on in our community.
White people,Them I-talians and whoever else has a problem with spike because of his view on them in his movies but it's the truth so they will never give him flowers but their kids and their kids can't get around his influence at some point in time they have to go back check out something he did or apart of.
Spike could of been bigger,them cac's don't want to give black directors that make black movies the capitial to do so because their not getting a 100million dollars back but what they fail to realize is that once you get a black classic movie,that shit get's watched over and over again for decades.....I still watch the movie Juice,BoyzNDaHood,MllS and them shit's is 30+.

Spike made a lot of classic movies but never gotten the respect he deserves. People didn't like the fact he did shit his way but got his own people jobs being in his movies who soon became famous doing other gigs. Spike jumpstarted a lot of these actors careers we see today along with some that are no longer with us. Yes, spike should get his flowers while he's here because he deserves it.
I know when spike time to leave this earth, you're gonna see a lot of people sending condolences especially some who we haven't heard about years ago.
So, spike created a lot of timeless movies that will forever be remembered.

Spike been got his flowers and respect from the community. If you were black and shot something or directed something they say you trying to get your spike lee on or every black director after him was compared to spike lee( see John Singleton).. his name was always look at in high regards.
