MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A suspect in connection with the murder of rapper Young Dolph is now wanted in Memphis, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
U.S. Marshals arrested Shundale Barnett along with accused killer Justin Johnson on Jan. 11 in Indiana. Barnett was a passenger in the vehicle driven with Johnson when he was captured.
Three facing charges in Young Dolph murder, officials reveal
Officials in Indiana say Shelby County told them to release Barnett.
Barnett was charged with being an accessory to a role in helping Johnson flee from Memphis, officials said.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Barnett also faced charges of criminal attempt to commit first-degree murder and theft of property.


He was held in Indiana and was supposed to be extradited to Memphis with Johnson but officials say that did not happen. He is now wanted by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
Barnett was released from custody in Indiana on Jan. 21. According to Clay County Sheriff Paul Harden, Shelby County told them to release Barnette.
“On Jan. 11, Mr. Shundale Barnett was brought to the Clay County Jail by the Indiana State Police from an arrest on I-70. He was booked in the Clay County Jail on an outstanding warrant from Shelby County, Tennessee,” said Sheriff Harden. “We held them (Barnett), contacted Shelby County, and held him on their warrant and we were contacted on Jan. 21 and they told us that they were no longer wanting to come up and pick up Mr. Barnett and that we were to release him at that time.”
Harden said they have “no idea” where Barnett is.

Johnson was extradited to Memphis from Indiana and appeared in court in January along with Cornelius Smith.
Smith was the first suspect to be arrested in the rapper’s murder. He was charged with auto theft involving the white Mercedes allegedly used as a getaway car in the shooting.

Police said Devin Burns, 26, is approximately 5'6", and 135 lbs.
Burns has active warrants for aggravated assault and theft of property between $10,000 and $60,000, although police say they are unrelated to the Young Dolph case.


Police also named Joshua Taylor, 26, as a person of interest.
He is described 6'6" and 180 lbs.
Memphis Police are looking for information into the location of both men, or any additional information into Young Dolph's murder.

Jeremiah Taylor, one of the men responsible for tidying up Young Dolph’s Memphis memorial multiple times a week, was shot and killed last week, per Fox 13.
Taylor’s friends spoke to the news station and said they’re finding out more information via family as time goes on. He was reportedly found dead on Getwell Road and the Memphis Police Department is now looking for suspects in the fatal shooting.


“Jeremiah was a great person,” said friend Frank Gottie, who said he considered Taylor—who is shown above in an early report as he worked on Dolph’s memorial—a brother. “He was so creative. He was so on point. He was helpful, he would help anybody.”
Taylor’s upkeep of the Dolph memorial at Makeda’s Cookies included keeping posters in check—one of which he made himself. The memorial also features dolphins colored into the pavement, and plenty of flowers to honor the late rapper, who was killed on Nov. 17 at the location.

“I want people around the world to know we care about Dolph,” Taylor previously told ABC 24. “… The love he had with people. A lot of people are realizing and now seeing the person that he always was. Taking care of his community, being a philanthropist, and really promoting financial independence. [It’s] a moral that he taught.”

Money and Infuence leads to a bunch of characters running around playing roles out of a movie,thinking their playing chess when their actually playing with their life;He had been shot at and shot all in different cities by you know who so what makes you think that you won't die in your own city?oooh cause you're from the opposite side and you know killers as well,their your friends too.....Dolph is dead and remember he had a guy with him who was carrying but only reacted after the suspect's were in their gettaway car.

Becoming successful but still playing around in the streets cost him his life....it's hard to do both without going to prison,battle scars or end up dead.

Sometimes you have to simply conclude that some people are intellectually challenged. Nothing complicated. No deep thinking required. Kid's not that smart and that's. it. What I do know, is this will certainly surface as an exhibit at some point.
