fucked up
thats why you don't add any co-workers or managers to your social media...
Tell those muthafuckas you ain't got one
Dude said "Do you think thing don't get around?"
That, to me, suggested snitching or some other form of snooping.
I think the worker has a wrongful termination case then
Wrongful Termination Suit.... Easy Money
Not if he lives in a "Right to work" state, if I understand correctly.
Can't the boss just text you "I don't like your face, fuck off"?
I think the only protection is that they can't be explicit for firing you for being a member of a protected class-- i.e. "Saw your new LGBT relationship, good luck with the job hunt" or "nice ancestry report from 23 & me, clean out your desk."
1. He wasn't on the clock
2. He never mentioned the job or location
I don't see how the post has any correlation with him being fired...
If he had posted the meme while at work on company time, then that's another story.

Whether you can be fired for no reason, when you did nothing wrong, depends on your employment status and specifically on whether you are an at-will employee. In most of the United States, employees are generally considered “at will” employees. At-will means that you or your employer can terminate your job on a moment's notice for any reason, whether good, bad, indifferent or for no reason at all. The law in most states presumes that an employee is at-will unless the employee can prove otherwise. This means that unless the termination violates federal or state law, company policies, or an implied contract, there is very little that an at-will employee can do to protest a termination without a reason. At Will Employment: Fired for No Reason
Can my employer fire me for no reason? Even if you are an at-will employee, your employer cannot necessarily fire you for any reason at all.employment-law.freeadvice.com
The real story here is the dangers of a corporate police state where workers have to watch what they say in any form and have no rights or protections.Right on, bruh.. Ive told sum young folks the dangers of social media, but as usual aint nobody listening!!!

I don't do fb but I heard someone say something real smart once, which was that you should preemptively block your job and everyone you work with to minimize bullshit like this.
If it's even real.
As a result, you would also lose out on the ability to network and be limited in making/maintaining certain social connections.
Sounds like advice that is good in some instances, bad in others and, most importantly, accepts a status quo that should not exist.
Bullshit. How much networking and social connection do you do on Instagram and Facebook? You work at the muthafucka, network and connect while yo ass is in the office.
And it's not accepting shit either, it's mitigation. Nor does that approach preclude one from being an activist against said status quo, should one decide to take on the yeoman's work that is campaigning against it through using it.
Come on now
Ok so you one of those huh
You should ask for elaboration before calling bullshit. You clearly did not pay much attention to or understand the word "maintaining."
I've lived in many places and worked in many place. Most millennials do not stay tied down to one job for long. There are more people who I keep connections with online than off.
Ok so you one of those huh
I ain't gotta ask for shit, articulate your fucking thoughts better, or learn how to be wrong about a thing without it hurting your vagina
While you talking about paying attention, why don't you pay the fuck attention to the part where i said block who you work with. If you no longer work with them, the need to block them is gone. I didn't say block muhfuckas you don't work with anymore, did I, fucking pay attention face?
I don't give two fucks how many places you've lived or worked, I said what the fuck I said. You think you the only muhfucka who's moved around? Foh
Dumbass FAILED by adding his boss to his Facebook list.
People at work ARE NOT your friends.
You CAN be friendly with them, but they can and will blow up your spot if you open yourself to it.
Stop adding coworkers AND managers to your Facebook/IG accounts.
LinkedIn, cool. Facebook. GTFOH.

Exactly!You can be fired
but a lot of companies give you the opportunity to protest wrongful termination...and you can also sue
Dude needs to read his employee handbook and rights in the state
